Philadelphia Flyers: Philippe Myers To Join Team Canada For WorldsMyers added to Canada's WC team! Should be good experience and a good confidence boost for him.
All of these are very good questions i wish the playoffs were over so we could start making some moves. Ill go with any or all of these if it makes us better.Lord knows our free agency from last season didn't make us better. So where do we stand today as far as filling voids or upgrading posirions? Are we trading Voracek to upgrade his position or another one? Who can we realiticallyget as far as an impact defenseman? Do we go FA, trade, or both?
I really want to see Fletcher be aggressive. I want to see who the Flyers hired as our GM and if he is the aggressive type of laid back, which I hope not.All of these are very good questions i wish the playoffs were over so we could start making some moves. We had laid back for the past 5 years i think we all are ready to be as aggressive as we can without getting in cap trouble or getting worse as a team.I really want to see Fletcher be aggressive. I like the Detroit options the best.I think you have to upgrade 2C. IMO, that's the #1 priority. Really the only UFA options there are Hayes and Duchene. The rest aren't 'good 2C' options IMO. I'm not optimistic they get Duchene, and I think Hayes will make too much money for what he is.
So you have to trade for a 'good 2C'. Best place to start with that, is a team that's rebuilding or looking for a bit of an overhaul that has a good C. DET, OTT, MIN, NYR, NJD, LAK, ANA, maybe BUF?
DET - Athanasiou or Larkin would be interesting, but they're 24 and 22. Probably part of the rebuild.
OTT - God they're bad.
MIN - Staal? Might be a decent option. Only 3.5M for 2 more seasons, put up 52 pts last year.
NYR - They're all young and they seem all in on Zibanejad who would be the most likely option.
NJD - Zajac maybe, but 5.75 for 2 more years isn't appetizing.
LAK - Kopitar
ANA - Getzlaf's contracts is terrifying. Kesler is cooked. Henrique might be interesting though. He's a good 40-50 point guy. 5x5.8M on his very recently signed contract though.
BUF - Mittelstadt and Eichel aren't going anywhere. I doubt Reinhart is either, but he would be a real interesting option if they were to deal him. They don't really have a 'Ghost-like' guy on their back end, maybe there's something there? I'm sure they're looking to shake things up; they haven't made the playoffs since 2011.
That was horrible last night. So is it time to bring in international refs to the playoffs to make them fair? Sheesh how many game deciding blown calls can they make?
It's crazy to me to think with 4 refs on the ice in OT that none of them saw that hanf pass? That whole crew needs to be fired again!https://www.yahoo.com/sports/moment-dale-tallon-knew-blackhawks-211510080.html
A dark day in Flyer history.![]()

I hope not, that's the stuff that gives a sport a black eye, Bettman would be wise to call this out for what it is. I would be willing to bet going forward all playoff goals will be reviewable lol.SJ certainly looking like the team of Bettman's choice.. err.. I mean.. destiny!
Plays like that hand pass last night are so obvious it shouldn't have to be reviewed. I think you got it right they should be fired.I hope not, that's the stuff that gives a sport a black eye, Bettman would be wise to call this out for what it is. I have seen him play in the under 18 worlds and he is very good. They won the goldI like the sounds of him. And honestly, the organizational need is probably D more so than a forward at this point. I wouldn't be upset with that selection. Playing in the SHL at 18 is a good sign.
This is a weak UFA market for Centers. I always liked Marcus Johansson, but am suprised to see his best year is 24 - 34 -58. Not sure he cuts it at 2C. Ryan Dzingel is also a UFA. He has (2) 20+ goal seasons but a high of 44 points. It's time for Patrick to step up and take the 2C spot.I think you have to upgrade 2C. IMO, that's the #1 priority.
