How devastating of a loss is this for the Islandwrs? That loss could possibly suck the life out of them, no? All the pressure is on them. I hope we have a similar magical run like the 2010 team, but only finish this time.

It was def devastating for them. Probably won't see Varley any more. 5 years of watching that scrub finally paid off lol. It's ours for the taking. Just depends on how hungry we are.

Finally won a 3rd period in this series! What a great Thursday night with a day off tomorrow. Provy and Nisky plus 3 tonight. Sanheim and Myers still shaky. I hate the break out with the feed to the forward coming back with momentum keeping him in the zone or playing it back. Not only did this increase turnovers but it’s the worst kind of in zone turnover because you put it low for them! Why do we continue to do the same thing and play through the half boards on the PP?!?!? I’m no Scotty Bowman but I do know that if you keep doing the same shit that has you 4/50 on the gotdam PP it’s never getting fixed.

We got out skated, took their best shot, and for the third time (and 2nd time in a row) the Isles have been so close in an OT game and they force game 7. Big Mo wears Orange and Black.

Btw, AV has to stop w these challenges. He should have known the Islanders goal was good. Unfortunately the Islander player was taken down by our guy, which resulted a no way to save it for Hart. And then the delay of game penalty led to the Islanders go ahead goal.

The amazing thing is, I think we can happily plan on Hart stealing games for the foreseeable future. Not having to bring their A-game every night and still have a chance at winning is such an advantage.

Having seen us too many times being on the end of outplaying the other team and losing, this was a nice change. The Islanders threw everything they had at us in the 3rd, 1st and 2nd OTs. They have to stop chasing the Isles top line and start hitting them when they have the puck. Neilson, Eberle, Barzal and Lee are given too much time with the puck. Time to play the man. Nisky did it a few time with success.
