I LOVE the Thorton move. What do you think the cost would be? A 1st? A 2nd?
Im not sure but we already dont have a 3rd round pick next year from the Braun trade so if we give away a first and second for Thornton we dont pick until deep into the fourth round next year.

I meant a 1st or a 2nd. Not both. No way

I'm going with Teapot again tonight.... AV was not so subtle in saying JVR should have blocked the killer shot on Tuesday... maybe he'll respond

I would start with a second and if they dont take it i would add maybe a player like say Noah Cates. i would not do a first.

Agreed. I'm as high on this team as anyone, but I'm not so sure I'd consider them a surefire cup contender this year. Until that's the case, I would be hesitant to move 1st rounders or top prospects. Later picks or prospects with a lower ceiling, I would consider moving, even in a non-cup contender year. They'll need the playoff experience and confidence when it comes to cup contender time.

I am really liking the Pitlick for Hartman deal. We got the better end of that deal by a mile.

Agreed here as well. I actually really like most of the bottom 6 right now. Pitlick, Raffl, NAK, and Laughton are 4 great bottom 6 wingers. Bunnaman been holding his own as a 4C this time around. And obviously I support Teacup being on the team as well, though he's a little out of place in what I want in a 3rd/4th liner.

The real hole is at 3C. If they could add Thornton, that pushes Laughton to wing. And makes the 3rd line a little more offensive, where Teacup can be more impactful.

Then you have Pitlick, Raffl, Bunnaman, and NAK for your energy providing 4th line. Unfortunately Bunnaman is probably the least effective, but the only center. But still.
