G has been a point-per-game player in the playoffs. Including the last 3 trips where the flyers were grossly outmatched and the whole team struggled to score. Before that, he’s more than a point per game.

He’s no Danny Briere, but few are. He’s ‘clutch’ enough. Just needs some help.

He’s also always struggled in the first half. And the Flyers have reflected that until this year where there were others that could share the load. Let’s see how he plays in the 2nd half and in the playoffs.

You could go on and on about Giroux. 790 points in 860 career games. He has played in every game for the entire season 7 times and is on pace to do it yet again. In fact, he's missed only 9 total games in the last 11 seasons combined. 42 career game winning goals and from a playmaker. During a recent broadcast, they showed that in the last decade, he is second to only Backstrom in power play assists. He's still the best faceoff man in the Nhl and can play wing or center for you.

Again, his postseason numbers are actually slightly better on average, which is what you expect from great players.

I’ll let you guys ramble on about Giroux and underrate him as you do. But I’m going to call you out when it gets ridiculous.

I know teams would be lining up to get Gee especially around playoff time but trading a player when he is at a low point wouldn't be a smart move by us. Plus those teams would be lining up to get the goal scorer and point getter. We weren't questioning his offensive skill we said he is not a good leader which i think ive made clear that is my opinion over the years.

OK I checked my own numbers and I lied to everyone he played 81 games in the 2018-19 season. So I am changin my argument to maybe that was a huge workload for him to make the jump and they are easing him into this years season.

I could agree with this if we were way ahead and had a playoff spot locked up but everyone is on our heels and we arent a sure thing to make it.

Playing the last 20 games just trying to make playoffs is also a huge physical drain.. don't care how elite of an athlete you are... can't sustain that level of play to squeak into the playoffs, and then have to play a high seed with expectations of anything other than a first round exit.

Balance of January schedule is tough.... and they can't afford to lose ground.
