Who cares. Both probably have family stuff going on. It's a 10 day duration, 2-3 day spurts between weekend breaks. They made it to a couple and have missed a couple. Wouldn't be surprised if they showed back up to finish it out.

That was my take, but the talking heads are trying to make it a story because of Brown's comments about Bell. It's a slow time of year - Everything is a story.
Like these? There you go...this time of yr...you're kinda hoping you don't hear any thing about police reports or somebody going down in OTAs.
Like these?
Bummed to hear about McGee's injury since it sounds serious. I had hopes for him to push James this year.Exactly like those!

Looks like another year of McDonald, James & Grimble. Not bad company. I hope to see McDonald stay healthy this season. So I heard...maybe year ending.
Considering they didn't draft a TE...maybe they were thinking they had someone to develop in house already.

Agree about NE being ahead until proven otherwise but not HOU or JAX. Houston has a lot of question marks and no one knows yet if Watson is fully recovered from that knee injury. Agree about JAX, 1st place schedules can be killers.Yep...I'm still of the opinion Haley was so focused on AB & Bell that there is more to get from this group.
A couple of days ago during lunch the midday sportstalk guys who I like alright...they have their NFL blitz and talk about teams around the league.
In the course of that topic, PIT came up and both feel HOU, JAX, and until proven otherwise NE are better and PIT is a playoff team but maybe not really a SB contender.
The fan in me driving kinda took offense to that and wanted to call in to the show....lol
Grabbed some lunch and thinking about it on the way back the office...taking my fandom off for a second...I think PIT is the class of the north and will represent the DIV again...beyond that we'll have to see, but hearing sort of non-biased opinions thinking they're looking up to 3 teams in the AFC was a little eye opening.
NE of course and I can see JAX being in the mix, but that's a big year to replicate with a 1st place schedule and expectations. HOU...idk.
Your thoughts?

Jacksonville... will once again ride their defense. And as history shows, that's all it takes to make a Super Bowl contender. But what's scariest, and ATL touched on it, is they have discovered they can win while their offense struggles. Theoretically if they can turn Bortles into a game manager then they will be a very difficult team to beat. Anything better for Bortles and they'll be lights out. Last year was the emergence, but this year with the tough schedule will be the true test of their mettle. I think Coughlin has that team prepped for many years of success, but I don't see them being a Dynasty until their QB can prove capable of consistency.Agree about NE being ahead until proven otherwise but not HOU or JAX. New England... Nothing really needs to be said that hasn't already. They have the coach & QB capable of winning every game regardless of skill position personnel. They are the class of the garbage heap that is the AFC.Jacksonville... will once again ride their defense. And as history shows, that's all it takes to make a Super Bowl contender. Houston... I can understand the hype, and considering their defense has a better secondary I can see why people like them better. But there's a lot of things that have to come together for them to even achieve a 10 win season. Even with Watson playing as well as he was they were still only 3-4. If I were a Texan fan I would be most worried about how long Watson can hold up. His style of play could always lead to season ending injuries. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get hurt once again and dash their playoff hopes.
Pittsburgh... New OC, didn't fix their defensive woes on paper, and they are magnets to the drama & distractions. I think people are simply tired of this team. Very understandable. All that star power and nothing to show for it. It's an exhausting theme for Mike Tomlin and the world knows it. They stumble out the gate every year, people question their mentality & preparedness, and then suddenly they're in the playoffs just to lose in heartbreaking fashion. How many years have we seen that now? 4 years running or so? Who knows if the recent coaching changes will be enough to get this team to the next level. We can only hope, but its going to take a collective effort from many people playing above what they did last season to get this team to the Super Bowl.
