Isner vs. Del Potro:

Isner was getting deep into Del Potro's service games almost every game! Yet he never broke Del Potro.

Meanwhile, Del Potro didn't do much on Isner's service games, except for getting a break once in each set. The other service games, were mostly easy holds for Isner.

Isner outplayed Del Potro. I bet he won more total points.

Why not just go in cold. Play a couple matches and then go back to training. Not like grass takes a whole lot out of you. He can just enjoy his time there. Maybe even sit with the commentators on the middle Saturday. No reason to skip it. It is a nice warm up for the hard court season too.

@Old Lion : I can't get into some of the "younger" players like Dmitrov, Alexander Zverev, Krygios.

But I do like Diego Schwartzman (he's 25, not really young, but whatever); Shapovalov, and Dominic Thiem.

Regardless of what happens in the Schwartzman match, this is another reason why I wanted Federer playing.

Because if he's in the draw, he has a chance. Things can happen, and he could have had another shot at a deep run.
