For all the hype, Zverev gets he sure knows how to disappoint in the majors.

Had several disappointing results in GS events since becoming a top 10 player. Good thing he's only 20

The amount of upsets in the first 2 rounds of this tournament doesn't make sense.

Wawrinka, Goffin, & Querrey all went down on the men's side last night.

Several seeded women players as well

Players are just not in form this early in the year. Many of them take time off. They just are not as fit as they are from March through October.

Yep and that IMO makes the Aussie Open fun. It is so damn unpredictable.

Sometimes. Other times not so much. Like in the Halep / Davis match when both of them looked like they were going to die. I wish the rest of the majors would adopt the last set tie break.

The mens side has had some high level play the last round. Grigor finally looked good. Just in time too as Kyrios has played well. Rafa looks like he slimmed down a bit and it is helping his movement. Roger is still Roger too.

I have not seen Nole yet though. Is he coming into form yet?

Funny. I came here to ask the same thing about Nole. If he's healthy and at 90%+ of form I think he's a no-brainer to win this with ease. He's just a master at this venue. I haven't seen him play (even on highlights) but just looking at the box scores so far I'd take him over the rest of the field even money at this point. I know the AO is sometimes viewed as the red headed stepchild of majors but he's just a monster here.

Not sure he will ever be 100% again. That shoulder is pretty bad. He had to change his service motion again. He had issues with it when he was younger too. Still, he is not too dependent on his serve so might be good enough.

Now, now, now. The French open was really cool before Nadal hit the scene, it was maybe a little bit less cool when Nadal the "clay court specialist" was mowing people down, and it became his boring house when he was in his prime making the tournament a lot less interesting. 10 years from now when there isn't a freak tennis talent that isn't the greatest ever 2 times over on the surface isn't playing it will be cool again.

Nole jinxed by Gohusk! I am probably jinxing Fed myself against Bery poo. On paper Fed over Berdy a no brainer 19-6 h2h but Fed had some unexplainable losses like the one against Goffun at the WTF SF
