The women are allowed a 10 min break in between the 2nd and 3rd sets if a certain temperature is crossed.

The same should apply for the men (2nd and 3rd sets; 4th and 5th sets).

love that they're actually cracking down on enforcing the time-out rule

rafa and nole used to abuse it mightily, and it's a gamesmanship tactic used by hundreds of players at smaller events throughout during the 50-week tennis season

gamesmanship with medical time-outs has been the deciding factor in far too many matches

i feel that when it gets as hot on court as yesterday, the rule they need to look at is when to stop play altogether, or close the roof and turn on the a/c if possible

This has been a great Friday so far.

Halep with a 15-13 3rd set win. Great match.

Korean player Chung wins the 2nd set against Alexander Zverev. This has been an even match so far.

Del Potro vs. Berdych to come, as well as Federer vs. Gasquet. I might watch those tomorrow on Saturday night.

Missed most of it actually. Went to a basketball game. Walked in the house and it was 12-11 in the 3rd lol

Coach Darren Cahill told her that she lost her USO match because of her serving.

After that match, she practiced her serve for 3-4 days straight.
