Nice way to disparage a 62 and 13 performance.

It's the reality of what Melo's game has continued to devolve to. He's a defensive sieve these days, and doesn't provide much more than whatever he can muster in points. Believe me, I wish it wasn't so, as I'm a fan back to his Syracuse days.

We know his shooting is attrocious. But he's still averaging a triple double and he's getting 20 shots a game. I was saying his numbers are good for his own ego, not necessarily proving worth to others.

It's kind of funny that earlier in the season, casual onlookers were lauding Westbrook, saying his decreased scoring combined with George's emergence was proof that Russ was "getting it". In reality, the only thing that has changed is the plunge in his shooting percentages, lol.

That game was in 2014.

62 and 13 is a great game for a player like Melo. That was a bad team and they needed Melo to do that for them to win.

He made 66% of his FG's and was very efficient

It was efficient. Never said otherwise.

Just saying they didn't need him to do that ( I have no problem with it) but in a game you win by 29, you don't need a player to score 62. Melo could have went. for 44 and would have still been a comfortable win for the Knicks

It wasn't like recent Harden games where his team didn't win or barely won a game where he scored 55+ points

People who only look at name would be the only ones who'd want him for their team. He is not a good player. Might even need to improve to be a bad player at this point.

Goodness, I never said he had to score exactly 62 points.....my point, maybe I need to spell it out in baby language for you......because you take everything literally......with that roster, they needed him to score a lot because he was the best scorer they had.

You're right. We're officially Tanking for Zion. Lakers gonna mysteriously win the lottery with only the 11th or 12th best odds. Good luck defending that Lebron/Zion screen and roll in 2020!

I thought about adding into my comment that they should lose enough to miss the playoffs but not enough to get good Lottery odds because I could see them mysteriously winning the lottery(or just top 3) even as a longshot.

I honestly believe he has learned his lesson from the Durant debacle.

He got his MVP.

But, his Team wasn't true contenders with him as the #1.

There is no replacing Durant.

But, George has been a hell of a consolation prize.

I think he realizes that he can't do it alone.
