fucking Whiteside is praying to his lucky stars that his agent got him that next year as a player option for 27M and not a team option.

Its less about Whiteside and more about the other 2

they gotta find more time for Waiters

that guy could be so good if he ever consitently got healthy and got his head on straight for more than a month or two at a time.

If Waiters just accepted some of his limitations, got healthy and got his head right he would be a real asset to a lot of teams. He reminds me a lot of Bledsoe with his body type- even more athletic though and more aggresive.

He's been playing well lately. Expect him to get his startimg sg job back pretty soon.

@ChiefsLakers67 is this like your worst nightmare? LeBron goes to the Lakers, sucks up a bunch of their cap room, and gets hurt and they fall out of the playoffs?

who do you hate more?

tom brady?

lebron james?

or that asshole #55 on the Chiefs that lined up offisdes? that dude is DEFINITELY getting cut.

lol OK, I DID say you could come at me next week if we lost. man of my word...

STILL hate LeClown the most. Dee Ford won't get cut Imo because he's still a good pass rusher. Brady, well, who DOESN'T think that guy is a little bitch. But as far as QB hatred, Philip Rivers is the guy I hate because he's a crybaby...

ah well, was a good game til the end. So we'll see if they fire Bob Sutton and get a better defensive coordinator. The job the guy did all year was deplorable, plain and simple...

Klay Thompson going bananas for his dad and his hometown crowd. Sorry Lakers fans, he's taken.

35 points....on 16 shots. 7-7 on 3s. Efficient much?

Nice solid win for the Sixers. The Rockets need 50+ to be able to win against a good team right now.

The Warriors have won championships with Nick Young and Javele McGee. It's time for a harder test. Melo should join the Warriors

Brett Brown gave Harden a few different looks last night and he ONLY put in 37.
Sixers had a block party and coasted.
Good start to the dozen games against quality opponents, though HOU was missing Capela/Paul/and I guess Melo...... :D

On another note, Brooklyn has become an interesting team. Very Houston-like in their approach, but not so reliant on any one player, more of a team concept. Dinwiddie kills the Sixers, but he always seems to be 4-13 against everyone else.

Yeah, Warriors aren't letting Klay go.

Lakers better set their sights on Redick.

I think it's way more likely that they can land him, over Klay or Beal.

Dude is in full mercenary mode, going to the highest bidder.

He just said the other day, he would be a Pacer if they offered a 2 year deal.

The Sixers have to pay Jimmy.

So, JJ could be had.

But, Klay is home.

Literally the only thing that could wreck it for them.
But, it would be a super cool way for Melo to go out.

I also wouldn't be opposed to CP3 being the only banana boater sans jewelry.

JJ is a great offensive player to have on your team. But he is atrocious on defense. The next pick he breaks through will be the first pick he breaks through.

The Sixers will offer him a similar contract again next year if they can't land any of the big FAs. IMO, the Sixers will go after Klay, Kemba or Middleton. If they strike out on those guys they will bring JJ back.

Yeah, Klay is not leaving the Warriors to go to Philly.

But, you still have to try.

On a side note....Holy Shit.

Can you afford Kemba?

Because...

Holy Shit...lol....that would be fucking fantastic.

Doesn't Butler's cap hold eat up your max slot?

Do you think Philly would consider Midget Isiah?

Butler would mitigate the Shit out of his non existent defense.

They can definitely do it. They would likely need to get Fultz off their hands.

Wow...

Obviously, you go Klay if he's willing.

But, I would love to see you get Kemba.

Oh, my....

That would be filthy.

He's not classified as a " shooter ".

But, he is a professional scorer and I just love that guy.

Oh, how I hope that happens.

Oh my goodness...

@flyerhawk is correct.

Philly can keep their core together, including Butler, and still have a max slot just by dealing Fultz into capspace.

Wow......

“After acquiring Jimmy Butler in the regular season’s biggest blockbuster, Philadelphia does not actually have max space at the moment assuming Butler opts out and re-signs with the team. However, their $20 million in space could jump to about the necessary amount for a max player if they can find a taker for Markelle Fultz either before the trade deadline or next summer. Having that simple a path to a max slot makes the Sixers more appropriate in this group than the one for teams without the ability to sign a max player.”

I rather sign 2 quality role players then signing a max contract.

I can see some issues if they sign another guy who needs the ball in their hands a lot. They already have 3. Golden State works because they Klay doesn't need the ball in his hand much.

Miami and Cleveland only worked because Bosh and Love took a lesser role. Also those teams only had 3. Philly adding another star will mean they have 4 if you count Simmons

Yeah, I see your point.

I'm mostly marveling at the fact that they put themselves in a position to be able to get another max guy.

I kinda agree with you, if they target a ball dominant player.

They already have kinks to work out dividing shots, getting guys the ball where they want it, with Jimmy and Joel.

Plus, those Dude's have some strong ass personalities.

Still, Philly has done well with their cap.

Time will tell if the guys they have are a perfect mix or a recipe for disaster.
