Miami and Minnesota are not in the same conference....

But they offered Richardson, Olynyk, and a 1st round pick

I mean.....

I'd take Richardson over everyone in this deal, sans Butler.

Covington is nice and so is Saric but Richardson is going to be a star and they also offered a 1st? Wow.

Yeah.

It's not a bad haul for Minny on the surface because of the circumstances.

But, it wasn't the best deal on the table.

I wondered if the long-term money owed to Olynyk was the problem.

But, they are gonna have to pay Saric.

So, what's the difference?

The East.

I still have a healthy Raps and Boston ahead until I see if Simmons and Butler can coexist.

If Butler takes the ball out of Ben's hands, he's basically a taller Lonzo Ball.

But, if they blend well?

Yikes.

I really like Denver.

But, they aren't ready.

Utah is getting healthier.

But, the top of the East is indeed better.

He has to play SG in Philly......they are going to be a lock for the ECF IMO now. As long as he blends in....

Hard to say, suddenly the East has a few really good teams. In fact after the Warriors the East might have the next 3 best teams. Any of Toronto, Philly, Milwaukee, or Boston can make the ECF, and 3 of those teams will be tougher Finals matchups than Cleveland the last 2 years.

Just realized, 3 of those East leaders are in the same division LOL, only 1 can win the whole thing. They will be beating up on each other all year, but can anyone beat them in the playoffs? Indiana?

Outside of the Warriors, nobody has a chance to flip the balance of power next Summer more than Philly.

Including the $30.7M Jimmy Butler free agent hold, Philadelphia will have roughly $21M in cap space for 2019-20. The room includes renouncing all free agents except for Butler and TJ McConnell. The 76ers would be close to adding another max slot if they find a home for former first overall pick Markelle Fultz.
