I disagree
Lowry is a better player right now all around.
In a few years this will change but for this season right now im taking Lowry
Okay...

Serious discussion...

What are you basing your assessment on?

Who scored the most points?

Who takes the most charges?

Because, I'm not trying to piss in your cornflakes.

But, Lowry has a career assist average of 6 per game.

He has never averaged more than 7.5 for a Season.

NEVER.

It's like the first 2 weeks of the Season.

You know that number is going to come back to earth.

He will be 33 in a couple of months.

LeBron getting better with age is the exception, not the rule.

Lowry doesnt stat pad. He does what it takes to win a game. If he take only 10 shots fine. If he takes a crucial charge at the end of a game fine.
If he locks down on defense fine.

Not everything can be calculated by just stats.

If I wanted to win a game tonight Im takin Lowry over Simmons

Then you would probably lose.

Because we all know Lowry's history in important games.

And Porzingas isn't playing. Also, even if he were, his impact is not on Simmons' level.

Yeah, now you're moving the goal posts.

First you said you'd take the guy who was putting up 18 and 11.

Now that it's been pointed out that those numbers are not sustainable, it's not about the stats.

You are dug in.

So, we can agree to disagree and revisit around the trade deadline?

For all we know, you could be right.

I could be very wrong.

It's happened before.

* See Javelle Mcgee.

You are the one who claimed Wall was better than Irving awhile back lol

Having a stacked team makes it easier to look good. It's like saying Durant is amazing he has 2 finals mvps now on Gs, but had 0 on OKC...Can you believe that!

When Curry didn't have a stacked team he got lit up by Irving, and that was Irvings first finals lol

Yeah, I did.

And he was.

Now, probably not. Point being though, Wall is not an elite player. Never has been. For awhile he was among the top dogs of the second tier. Now he isn't even that.

And wrong. Having a stacked roster makes I think harder to post stats because you have to share. Kyrie only averaging 17.9 PPG. That will rise, but still. Nowhere near MVP level production. Steph is right there.

Hell to the no on Lowry, Wall and Drummond.
I'm really trying to wrap my mind around this.

Lowry over Simmons is like......

I was gonna say Cp3.

But, not even him....

Like Kemba over the Greek Freak.

There is just....

No way.

Walker is putting up 29 and 6.

Really good player.

But, doesn't move the needle like Giannis.

This is how I see Lowry vs. Simmons.

Honestly, same as Kemba or Blake over Simmons.

Simmons is far from a perfect player, but he can impact the game in a lot more ways than either of those 2 can. You know as well as anybody that Blake's numbers don't usually translate to wins.

None of the above.

Kemba and Blake are good players, not game changers. Porzingas is uber talented, but always hurt and never been part of a semi decent team.

Today is Simmons really a 'game changer'? I'm not talking contract value or potential, I'm saying today if you were picking players, you'd definitely rather have Griffin or Porzingis on your team.

No, I wouldn't.

Defintely not Griffin. And Porzingas is hurt currently, misses games regularly when healthy and I have always said it is really difficult to build around big men in the modern NBA. Both these guys are bigs.

When there is any doubt, I will always take the perimeter player with size to guard multiple positions over the big. Always.

and yes, Simmons is a game changer IMO. He showed it last spring when he led the 6ers on that crazy run with Embiid hurt.

But, like LeBron, he needs shooters around him. And right now Philly doesn't have enough.

It would probably depend on the rest of the roster.

BG32 has always had fast starts.

It usually ends in tears by Season's end.

But, Blake vs. Ben is a harder choice over Ben vs Lowry.

I'd probably still take Ben because Blake doesn't defend.

In fairness, he's always played next to a uber-defensive big.

Still, a guy that can jump out of the gym should average a block a game.

He's never done that.

I was expecting them to still win 28-30 games in the EC but it looks like they may be somewhere in the 12-20 range.

On pace for 10 right now.
