Meh.

He's a really good shooter, but at 37? Not giving up too much. A 2nd and a bench player to make the salaries work seems more than adequate.
He's worth whatever a team is willing to give up to get him.

GM beautiful.

Not really.

There was an offer by some team offering 4 1st round picks for Butler.....does that mean he's worth it? No some team was desperate enough to mortgage their future for him.

Not saying Korver is going to fetch that at all. Just an analogy.

Yes, if someone is offering that, he's worth it.

A pick in 2023 and one in 2025 does the Wolves no good today.

Jimmy with his production is worth way more.

So, that was a trash example to use to try and prove your point.

I don't know why you think people have to accept Shit offers from the Lakers.

They aren't the only NBA Team that needs a shooter.

The team that made that offer, the Rockets, wouldn't be mortgaging their future because those are pretty much all likely to be late first rounders and they are looking to win now.

As @Mecca points out, the Lakers need a shooter. Maybe Lonzo will continue to shoot better and the guys who normally shoot better will likely return to form. But Korver is a proven shooter who has to be accounted for by the defense.

Yeah.

Plus, the Lakers are not looking to add anymore youth to this roster.

A late 20 pick is either trade bait or a draft and stash.

Go get the shooter. Because, that and consistent chemistry is the only thing missing from this team.

* a backup big. But, I expect that to be Mo*

He's a good locker room guy too.

There is blood in the Water out West.

Lakers, Jazz, Denver all have a legit chance of passing the Rockets.

Listen, he can say what he wants.

There was no other reason he needed to switch to Klutch.

No matter what, he was getting his supermax.

Cavs ex-Gm does some commentary on NBATV and he kept it real the other day.

He said something to the effect of....

The Lakers signed KCP last Season because it allowed them to legally talk with Rich Paul about various other.....clients....without the league hitting them with more tampering charges.

He suggested that any team that thinks they have a shot at Durant to find a unemployed client from Durant's agency to do the same....because that's how it works.

Report: 29 teams have Anthony Davis on their wish list, the only one who doesn't has Anthony Davis on their team.

Agree. But I think we all knew that the AD to the Lakers stuff was going to start sooner or later.

I'm just a little surprised that it started this soon.

Do the Lakers have enough trade bait to swing something like that?

Probably not.

Based on what the article suggests, a trade would likely come down to the Lakers or Celtics. The Celtics can make a better offer than the Lakers. I'm sure there are some others who could put together a better deal too, but those teams would almost certainly be only getting him as a 1 year rental.

The issue for the Celtics would be the same as the PG and Kawhi situations... Would the Celtics be willing to risk giving up what they would have to give up to get him when he might end up being a rental?

It worked for OKC and we'll see about Toronto with Kawhi...but neither of them are signed with Lebron's agency, so that might make the Celtics and others a little gun shy.

A question for the Lakers would be...if it looks like you have a great shot at signing AD in 2020, but Kawhi says he wants to be a Laker in 2019...do you sign Kawhi and pretty well end any shot at AD...or do you pass on Kawhi and wait for AD?

Maybe even a first and a salary since, if things work like we hope, any future firsts will be in the 20's.

2nd and a salary would be a no brainer.

That is a lot for Korver. Not worth a first.

It was close, they did cover!

Klay STILL shooting 3s like crap. And no problem for team wins, of course.

Yep they need to stop losing these games. Sooner or later, the whole we played this team close isn't good enough.

Heard it when they played Detroit, New Orleans, and now Golden State

I would. Not a lot of value in those late first rounders. The guys the Lakers have gotten are the exception, not the rule.

Don't bail Cleveland out. Korver is washed.
