Pretty sure that if the school pays players in one sport, they have to pay them in all sports because of Title IX. The subject of paying players has been beaten to death on the cfb boards and that seems to be the consensus.

Could be wrong though. I don't really know a whole lot about Title IX and haven't cared enough to research it.



Yeah, I'm not in favor of it either. Imo, the scholarship they are getting is their payment.

People talk about how much money they make the schools. Well...welcome to the real world. I don't know about you, but the company I work for makes a helluva lot more money than they pay me.

And when these guys go pro (the ones that make it), they are going to make their team a helluva lot more than the team is going to pay them.

Title IX deals more with sexual assault and the involvement of school personnel.

NCAA doesn't allow student athletes to receive any outside monetary compensation aside from stipends.
