Still, not bad for basically an under 21 team.

They may not get this close again, however, they still have one of the best academies in the world.

It's called gamesmanship. Most teams do that all the time. Ballboys etc can be seen throughout the season beeing very speedy when it comes to the home team, and kind of lollygagging etc when it comes to the visitors.
