tough first round for Tiafoe but he did his best. Hopefully he sticks around for a while and we see him somewhere.

It's hard for a young guy like him to take on a seasoned vet like Roger. I will give Tiafoe credit for taking him to 10 games in the 5th set. I was sure he would have punched himself out way before then.

Yup, he is a fighter. He ran out of gas in this one. 40-15 at 4-4 and lost it. He can be a top 20 player some day.

If Isner is ever going to make a deep run in a GS event, he has to take advantage of this opportunity. He's the top seed left in his quarter of the draw on home soil. Admittedly I don't follow the sport closely enough to know how his game matches up against his potential opponents.
