I don't find it that horrible but I usually go the first Friday and spend very little time there. Seeing the action on all the side courts is a lot more fun and you can get close to the action. If there's some rain early in a week you can get awesome matches on courts with only a few hundred spectators.

That being said, if I had to stay the entire time in Ashe I probably wouldn't go

Yeah Ashe is too massive. I would never settle for those nosebleeds. Grandstand and Armstrong are so intimate.

I've never been to the USO.

I wouldn't mind trying Ashe once, if I knew the match before hand and liked it.

One of my favorite jokes though is that watching from the upper seats at Ashe is like watching from the ozone layer.

it's up there, that's for sure.

there is a certain joy to be gained slipping an usher a $20 so you and your friend can sneak down to his section for a match though.
