Keep an eye on...cornerback Ross Cockrell, who asked for Antonio Brown and is getting him today. Cockrell sniffed out a sideline pass for a pass breakup at the goal line, but Brown has two big gains in the open field.
Play of the day: Ben Roethlisberger, on the move, throws across his body to a double-teamed Antonio Brown in the back of the end zone for a leaping score. Good coverage, better catch. Looked similar to Brown's score against Janoris Jenkins and the New York Giants last year.
Coach Mike Tomlin said cornerback Artie Burns has been evaluated for injury and "hopefully it's minor and a number of days" missed. A trainer wrapped both of Burns' knees with ice at the end of practice.

@ATL96Steeler ... At this point in camp I have a hard time seeing Hunter not making the 53. All he's been doing is making headline after headline after every single practice. Coates' return won't have any effect on that. Also gotta love hearing all these great tid bits on Matakevich. He's been having a great camp.

Steelers spotlight on...Corner William Gay, who picked off a Ben Roethlisberger deep ball (might have been out of bounds, though) and batted down a pass intended for Eli Rogers near the goal line. JuJu Smith-Schuster beat Gay for a touchdown during 'seven shots,' but Gay more than made up for that with the two big plays.
