And waste a shit ton of talent!3 burning questions facing the Steelers in training camp
- Watt... IMO yes he'll be playing a lot this season. He won't be the starter, but he'll be a heavily used rotational player. His talent is too good to keep off the field and he's smart enough to stay ahead of the 'rookie curve'.
- Secondary... Hard to tell at this point. They've certainly provided enough insurance at the position to feel all warm & fuzzy. But all it takes is 1 injury, especially to either Burns or Cockrell, and we're in crisis mode. They don't have a clear backup on the outside as they only have 1 other CB with 'length' in Brian Allen. The rest are 5'10" & smaller. But not that height is a huge restriction on CBs. Smaller guys have had success outside, but its rare. The position is incredibly young & talented though so it will be interesting to watch these kids develop.
- Bryant... So far so good. He posted a picture of his first week after minicamp of him working out with VanHook Sports (2017 Offseason). Assuming he is keeping close to his workout regimen, and surrounding himself with a better group of friends, I think he'll be just fine. He's got a lot riding on this upcoming season. 1 year to prove himself to the team & the NFL that he's worthy of a future in the league. He stands to lose an immense amount of money should he falter yet again. Fingers crossed.
Wouldn't be the first asshat to do so.And waste a shit ton of talent!
No, but it'd still be a crying shame!Wouldn't be the first asshat to do so.
