Nope.

I don't like highlight videos. In my opinion, they are entirely pointless. Gives you all the best stuff someone did, and ignores all their mistakes and general faults.

Maybe I change my mind still....

Agree to some extent. I mainly use them to get acquainted with a player since I don't follow the NCAAF very well. I always take them with a grain of salt because like you said, it doesn't show their weaknesses.

I use the draft analysis & big boards to get more in-depth with prospects once I take interest.

I'd rather say, look at what he did, as a whole, at the Senior Bowl.

What we learned from Senior Bowl: Zay Jones boosts draft stock
Melifonwu on the rise. One of the highest compliments Mayock paid during the Senior Bowl broadcast was to Melifonwu. Mayock believes his draft trajectory, depending on his performance at the NFL Scouting Combine, could be similar to that of a former Dallas Cowboys first-round pick.

"Melifonwu, if he runs as well at the combine as I think he does, he might have a meteoric (draft) rise like Byron Jones, another UConn player," Mayock said.

Yep... had the same convo with @ATL96Steeler about Timmons prior to '16 season, about whether it was worth payin Timmons the $15mil for a position that is being subbed off the field in most 3rd down situations. Seems as though Butler didn't deploy the big nickel nearly as much last season, so there's that.

But the 3rd down issues remain... And need to be fixed asap!

V-Will is a 2-down LBer that is exposed in coverage. I'd hate for them to think that V-Will could instantly fill Timmon's shoes, because that would be a mistake. Hightower would be able to play the role for 3 downs, but I just don't want them to overpay.

Hightower would be an upgrade over VW...agreed, but is he really that much better than LT in coverage...I'm not sure he is...for more money than what LT got likely...no, I would rather VW as a 2 down LB and complement him on 3rd down as well.

Agree. Would be an upgrade BUT only at the right price! I bet Hightower can get more from the Pats so, I wonder if he's using these last couple visits (Jets, Steelers) to drive up the amount he gets fro NE.

NE let him test the waters to find out what his market is...visiting PIT is the wrong team to be trying to establish market value...lol

You're not the only one to like the UConn S...Alex at Steeler Depot had him at 30 in his mock 3.0...I like the pick actually. Big, physical, can play the hybrid role in big nickel and on 3rd down right now...2 yrs move Davis to FS, and he take over SS.

I'm with you on game tape vs a highlight reel, but they have different purposes in a way.

Obviously, the highlight reel shows you the upside of the player's skills....it's not meant to be a complete assessment. If you like the highlight reel you probe further into game tape.
