Nice win by the tribe today. Carrasco was on today. That is great news, considering how his season ended.

The Tigers trades of Cespedes and David Price netted them Fulmer, Boyd and Norris. All three look like legit MLB starters and each have shown they can perform like top end starters.

It is a shame our bullpen is a damn circus and it will screw us again this year.

Yep, the two main reasons I predicted the Tigers to go 83-79 and miss the postseason:

* Bullpen concerns
* No organizational depth to provide help when injuries hit

Now, if the bullpen could be at least AVERAGE, maybe they have a shot. Alas, I think we will still have a Bottom-10 bullpen by season's end.

Exactly. Unless Joe Jimenez turns into a lockdown reliever in the 7th or 8th inning. Detroit is going to blow too many games. I honestly think Justin Wilson will be our best bullpen arm this year. He came in, in great shape and has all the pitches to be a great setup man.

Outside of him though. Rodriguez scares me to high heaven (Todd Jones reincarnated). I'm just lost on Greene? How someone can throw 99 with all that movement, yet gets tattooed -- he has to be tipping pitches.or something.

If Zimmerman pitches like he has in his career and not like he did last year. I can see Detroit battling for a WC spot. Without Zimmerman, I see Detroit being around .500.

His first 2 starts have both been pretty good. Hopefully he stays in this form and stays healthy

I think they're all overrated and ultimately won't be anything special.

Fulmer is laying a turd on the pitching rubber against the Twins as I type this.

Twins fans: You cannot stop Andrew Romine, you can only hope to contain him.

It's Kyle Gibson. One of the biggest panty-wastes in the majors. The guy can't handle any kind of adversity. Looks like Tarzan, pitches like Jane. Actually, I think that might not be giving Jane enough credit.

Cabrera is currently hitting like Andrew Romine is supposed too.

Would it be surprising to hear they have uncovered Miggy's real birth certificate (inside a bottle of Dewars scotch) that shows he is actually 41

Romine with a whopping 6 career home runs in 852 plate appearances coming into this game. It takes a special kind of pitcher to serve up a GS to him.

Obviously, bad streaks are magnified at the start of a season, but I don't know how many 3-for-28 stretches Cabrera has even had in his career. At least he hit the ball hard twice today, unfortunately right at the outfielder both times.

When your 3-4-5 hitters have 0 HR's, 4 RBI's and they are hitting roughly .200 between the 3 on the year and JD Martinez hasn't played as well. The fact the team is 5-2 (with one loss on the bullpen). I'd say the starting pitching has been stellar.

Fulmer, Norris, Boyd....I don't see a staff ace coming out of those three. But they should fill the middle of someone's rotation for the next few years. Especially given the "leftiness" of two of them.

It's didn't look promising when you typed, but Fulmer ended up with a QS and a win.

Tigers 6-2. Doug should be here declaring the AL Central "wrapped up".
