Harbaugh's head coaching experiences, college and football, seem to end after four years. So 2018 will be a very interesting season for Jumping Jimbo in Ann Arbor. I'd figure another 8-5 year and another lost to OSU and/or MSU and he is history. 1/5 and 2/7

The only ''2B'' on the top 30 Tigers' prospect list is #9 prospect Isaac Paredes (from 'real' Mexico!!!) who is listed as an infielder with ''little speed or quickness''. He's only 19, so if he does amount to something, Machado will have to hold the fort for a couple of years or so. Otherwise....whomever the GM is down the road....he will be looking at the trade or FA market for a second baseman.

I think the trade and FA market, for actual Tigers, is a long way down the road.



Little speed is better than lots of slow. So he's got that goin for him. (That'sthe optimist in me talking.)

Feels like a weak trade from the Royals end. Scott Alexander should net more even when attached with Soria, and if he doesn't, you deal him at the deadline when he has another strong first half. I don't hate the two players we got, but Alexander's contract is pretty nice looking for a cheap GB artist and another reliever who can at least eat innings; and whom's contract is all but irrelevant to. Yeah, it opens up 9M, but they also gave away real talent. If Oaks is more than a #4 I might eat crow on that, but this is not an awesome deal unless both the players they got end up being better than we currently think. (#4 SP/UIF)

Don't be too hasty on the total demise of Detroit. One poster here is calling for a 14 game improvement from the Tigers in 2018. I can't see that myself...but this guy (says) he is good with numbers. IMO, the Tigers might lose 14 more games in 2018 than they did in 2017.....
BTW...Hungry Man Dinners taste exactly how $1.98 TV dinners should taste.
