They had the best winning percentage in 2016 as well as this year. Unless you want to count OT losses/ties as half a win. If you do that, you just have to go back to 2014.

Lions: 11-5 (.688)
Red Wings: 39-28-15 (.567 if you count the OT losses as 0.5 wins)
Tigers: 90-72 (.566)
Pistons: 29-53 (.354)

Lions also had the highest winning percentage in 1995, 1993, 1991, 1980, 1975, 1972, 1970, 1969, 1964, 1962, 1960, 1957, 1956, 1954, 1953, and 1952

And in the 15 seasons the Lions played in Detroit prior to the establishment of the Pistons, they had a higher winning percentage than both the Tigers and Red Wings in 1945, 1944, 1939, 1938, 1937, 1936, 1935, and 1934.

I'm sorry doug....but I think you are imagining things...again. Kinsler was coming off a good year in 2016. Why would 2nd base even be a worry? Again, my sympathy goes out to you.
