they really did a great job in the Eaton and Sale trades thats for sure.

Its gonna take a couple years but - i mean- getting guys like Koepech, Moncada, Giolito....etc...

and like you said- shit- they still have plenty of ammo to go out and get a few more A list prospects and a couple 2nd tier ones as well.

i defintiely dont think every prospect works out--- but if you have 4-5 elite prospects- at least 1 or 2 are gonna be impact guys.

I see your point. The Indians farm at that time was based on depth - that's also how they would do their trades, try to get a bunch of "good" prospects back instead of one "great" one. That's because of the attrition rates of prospects.

I've got the last fifteen Baseball Prospectus, and if you go through an older year's Top 101 Prospects list, you do a whole lot more of "who the fuck is that" or "what a bust" than you do "yep, that guy was a stud."

I'm not saying the White Sox won't be good (they've put themselves in a good place), but I definitely one say that in a couple of years.

Obviously they won't be this bad, but it's better if they pick between really shitty or really good very quickly given the trade deadline.
