Gotta give it up for Alex Avila ... first Tiger this season to drive in a run without a home run.

The Tigers couldn't take advantage of 5 walks issued by Shields. The Chisox took advantage of almost all of the 6 walks issued by Boyd/Sanchez.

Boyd and Sanchez are reasons #393 and #394 why I give almost no credence to spring training stats. Boyd looked very good all spring; Sanchez looked lights-out in his last 4 spring appearances. Shit changes when you are facing a major league lineup in a game that counts.

If my team were 3-0 and picked to demolish the rest of the division, I would not be picking on one poster. Instead I would be enjoying what could be a great season before the Chisox take over (about a year or two).
