Gotta wonder where Soler bats when he comes back? This lineup looks 6 deep to me right now and that includes a DH. Gordon has looked pretty good at the plate BA aside- getting good wood on the ball which is a really good sign going forward if it keeps up.

LF Gordon
3B Moustakas
CF Cain
1B Hosmer
RF Soler?
DH Moss
C Perez
2B Mondesi
SS Escobar

Bench Options:

Cuthbert (platoon mate with Moss, useful against lefties)
Colon- options fodder, but could play 2B
Orlando- decent 4th OF'er

Whit- good defensively and on basepaths, can play OF in addition to the infield.
Gore- Basepath destroyer, and assofar not much else.
Butera- backup C.

To be clear, I am just unsure of where Perez is at in the 2nd half of the year. The offense comes and goes with him. For now he looks pretty good. Soler is a flawed but useful bat if nothing else so far in his career, but could potentially do much more. Lot of questionmarks, just biding my time at this point.

There are only about 11 living White Sox fans, and I'm one of them. So that's not it. Thanks for trying to cheer me up, bud!

I can't wait until we play you guys. If we take an ass whoopin' like last year we can start making tee time for October. We need to take down the big bad Indians.

The 1st series of the year between them is just a couple of days away on 4/14. Should be good. Although I doubt the Indians will have the dominance against the Tigers like they did last year.

I think the series is bigger for the Tigers than the Indians. We have to show that we can play on the same field with you. That 4-14 mark wasn't lucky for the Indians, they kicked our ass in most of those games. If we take the series that could be a nice place setter for the season.

I agree the series is bigger for the Tigers. But Detroit is off to a nice start this season.

I hope doug comes back and tells us more about how good Detroit's pitching is....especially the bullpen. He might also comment on which excuse Miggy will be using for his crappy start. Mysterious injury? Cold Weather? Over-worked in WBC? or the always reliable, Groin Injury?

@broncosmitty - when are the Tigers going to have the Bruce Rondon bobblehhead give-away-day? I understand that the boxes they will come in have re-enforced bottoms due to the extra size and weight of this particular bobblehead.

The starters have been excellent in 4 of 5 games. The bullpen... well, every Tiger fan had concerns about it going into the season, and the pen has done nothing to ease those concerns. What's that old line about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results?

They have been good ... the season still looks promising. We knew about the bullpen, but really Rondon has been the only real concern I have. If history has proved anything, Miggy will be a 30, 100, .300 guy. To give up in early April is a sign of a troll or stalker.
