Word. MLB suspending that angry, drunken Mexican does nothing but help the Tigers.

Tigers won't have to pay that worthless pile of shit $31MM/yr for a few days, and maybe they'll give a minor leaguer a chance who would likely hit better that that fat cholo.
Your posts are funny tonight. Keep up the good work broheim

Yep, getting Miggy thrown out of a game only helps the Tigers. But getting Gary Sanchez suspended (look at the two sucker punches he threw at Cabrera and Castellanos) will surely hurt the Yankees.

Why this escalated:

(1) The umps did not warn the benches after Fulmer hit Sanchez. Girardi was correct to call out the umps on that. Now, I 100% believe Fulmer was not throwing at Sanchez there. You can tell by his body language immediately after the pitch left his hand. And why put two guys on base in a 3-2 game to get to Aaron Judge? But there was a history from the last series in NY, when Mahtook was hit twice (once in the head) and Fulmer later plunked Ellsbury (that one WAS intentional). Plus, Sanchez hat hit four home runs in this most recent series. So even if there was a PERCEPTION that Fulmer hit Sanchez because of the home runs, it is on the umps to nip it in the bud right there.

(2) Kahnle threw at Cabrera intentionally. ZERO question of that. Kahnle has a well documented history of doing things like that. That said, things escalated and got worse because Cabrera threw the first blow. I don't know what Austin Romine said, and I'm sure Cabrera has a short fuse right now because of the frustrating season he's having, but there was no brawl without that shove.

I crunched some numbers and they tell me there is a 0% chance the Yankees will face the Tigers in the Post Season.
Good thing eh?? History shows we knock them out of play offs.

I will give props to Miggy for possibly helping get several Yankees suspended.

Doug still clings to his copy of Risky Business on beta, too.

If Upton opts out of contract, Detroit's once great offense will be dependent on a "broken" Cabrera and a cast of failed prospects and other team's left overs. Household name, Mikki Mahtook might be ''protecting'' Cabrera in the batting order.

Miggy suspended 7 games.

That'll save the Tigers about $600k and give them a chance to plug someone who can hit into his lineup spot.

You should be pretty psyched, Doug. Hopefully he doesn't appeal.

Doug should be allowed a slight ''do-over''. Originally the dougster predicted a season for Miggy where he hit .320 with 30 Homers and 120 RBI. (Strong MVP candidate I believe he also stated). Of course even doug could not have foreseen a 7 game suspension for is idol.

Go ahead doug...re-crunch the numbers on Miggy's season, figuring in his suspension.

In all seriousness, do any Tigers fans have any explanation for Miggy's poor season? He had a 152 wRC+ and 4.9 WAR last year, it's not like his last few seasons have been hinting at a downfall. His BABIP (.301) is well below his career norm (.345), he is striking out more often (21.2%, worst since 2004).
