Is it good or bad that Detroit is part of the lousy AL Central? Do you want to be a crappy team in a weak division and try and believe that, because you're just 7 games out of first, you still have a chance to be a successful team? Or would it be better to be in a division where your 10 games under .500 record puts you around 15 games out of first with a clear view of your future plan?

Doug brings up a good point. Cleveland does suck! Yet they are ahead of his Detroit team by 7 games. What does that say not only about how bad the Detroit Tigers are, but how bad the rest of the Central clubs are.
