Guys like Rozier and Brown have taken the next step, Tatum has been an instant contributor... and Morris has been a solid addition.

What could a been if not for all the injuries... ?... still, I've greatly enjoyed this season and am hopeful the C's can make a deep playoff run.

You never want to see a guy get hurt.

But, the extra playing time for the guys you mentioned has accelerated their growth beyond expectations.

I'm not sure Brown and Tatum would be this far advanced had Hayward, Kyrie been totally healthy.

Not to mention the end of the bench guys who have been good contributors all season long.

Hell of a silver lining.

Everybody rips Ball for his shooting but Simmons never gets ripped for his shooting.....

I don't think the comparison is fair. Simmons FG%: .541 / FT%: .563 (which is lousy). Lonzo's FG%: .420 / FT%: .451 (for a PG that's terrible & will hurt late in close games).

He doesn't need a long range game. His game isn't hitting outside shots. And his 3 pt. %. Never paid attention to it but I laughed. Can't remember the last time a saw starter of his caliber w/ a .000 3 pt. %.

Stevens is great at giving guys just enough playing time to develop over time -- even when they aren't one of the key guys. (last year -- Rozier for example)

Even without injuries -- Tatum, Brown, Rozier would have been given enough time to develop.

I really hope this is not the ECF matchup. I know there are guys missing, but I just don't think this series would be very compelling to anybody besides Celtic and Raptor fans. This game has been prett ugly.

If you need an explanation for the ugliness... the Celtics are without 3 of the top 4 PG's on their depth chart tonight.

Even without Kyrie and Hayward, the C's still have more firepower than the Heat.

Rozier, Brown, Tatum, Morris, Horford would be more than enough in that series.
