Just saw reports that the Cavs are willing to move Tristan Thompson for the right deal. That's probably an understatement...
Is the "right deal" a six pack and a bag of pork rinds?

Unfortunately, the Lakers already gave away one of those picks (Russell), but luckily got Kuzma out of the deal. Now they're talking about trading away guys like Randle, Nance, and Clarkson in pursuit of cap space for the 2 max deal plan this summer. I don't like this plan at all.
Honestly - without that trade, the Lakers wouldn't have got Kuzma and in two years from now - I believe Kuzma is going to be the better player of the two and the Lakers didn't need two point guards that are starters - so getting a quality forward was a good thing

Always good to get more talent, but the Kings already have their PG of the future and several bigs, not the best fit for this year's draft. Who would be their target? Michael Porter maybe?
First they have to want and get the best draft possible - then trade for what they need if necessary

Their pipe dream is to land DeAndre Jordan, IMO, without giving up the Brooklyn pick. Only problem is Tristan Thompson is worth pennies on the dollar right now with the way he's playing.

There's a good chance the Lakers could've drafted Kuzma one spot later with the pick they got from Houston (and then traded down to pick up a 2nd rounder). Depends on who the Nets would've been targeting (and without Russell, that may have been a PG).

Guys I am on the WC this week and got to watch the whole Fakers/Spurs game. Ingram looks really really good. I would like him to put on some more mass but makes him special is he will go the rack and he dont mind getting banged. he is a cornerstone player combined with a good younger FA.

Randle is a better player these days but you cannot feature him as a low post option. In the right system he will be a good player IMO.

Lopex aint horrible guys be he is not the right guy in this teams age/energy. Lakers will win if they use their length on D but run the court. I would trade lopez for a long fast rebounding big. JMO

Julius Randle reminds me a bit of a more athletic Anthony Mason. He needs to work on a bit more control, but I agree in the right system he could thrive. I think he would really be awesome on the Rockets right now in the pick and roll with CP3 and Harden as a secondary play maker.

He had a bad night last night. But i think he is generally consistent. He is not a 5 or a 4 (maybe in a small lineup). he needs an aron baynes reliable 16 to 18 footer, then to your point he would be valuable. How the hell can this dude not have a 18 footer ?????????

Possibly - but the Lakers got rid of Mozgov as well so it was win win for us all the way around. We freed up 20 million, got back a nice draft that is turning out to be well worth it and I hope the best for Russell who is putting up some decent numbers and could have been moved to the shooting guard - but I think that move gave the Lakers some fleixibilty needed

Imagine if you guys took tatum and still got Kuzma AND grabbed a PG.

Clippers did their best to give you another win.

But, Lou was doing Lou thangz again.
Kings didn't want it enough and gave it back. Lou keeps upping the trade value. Clippers go for the 4 game sweep this weekend, would be nice for the Kings to beat them one time but it doesn't really matter.

Cavs should look to trade for Bismack Biyombo of the Magic. I think he would be an immediate upgrade to the center position and the perfect guy to defend and rebound in the paint. He'd also be able to be had probably for not a whole lot since he's on a relatively large contract as a backup.

This would work:

Orlando gets some major cap relief and save a ton of money on this deal.
Cleveland gets a rim defender and rebounder. Puts less stress on Love to do all the work.

Cavs:
IT
Crowder
Lebron
Love
Biyombo

Bench:
Rose
Wade
JR
Thompson

That would be a formidable playoff rotation. Lots of options to go small and a better defensive unit.

Spurs going to mess around so much and end up as the 4th seed. Leonard being hurt most of the season and scheduled rest days for their other players is really hurting them.

Only one game up on Minnesota right now.

Tatum plays Kuzma's and Ingram's positions, not enough minutes to go around (especially with Randle and Nance also at PF).

If the Lakers were to pass on Ball in retrospect, it would be for Donovan Mitchell.

Besides, Lakers have their PG. Ball is playing very well, just needs to keep confident in that shot.
