LOL, Defenses are even, the Dallas O is much better. That is how I see the teams stacking up. The Giants scare me more what the team in DC.

Exactly. With health, Dallas and NYG will be fighting for the top seed. DC will be fighting to stay out of last place. Philly will make it easy on them.

I think Philly has a good shot at putting DC right back into the cellar.

If I had to pick I'm giving the slightest edge to the New York Football Giants as of today due to the FA signings, but that certainly doesn't mean I don't think we have about the same chance as them. It will come down to being dominant in the running game, Romo's health and the pass rush for us to win it. I think everything else we know about the hand we have been dealt. If you told me Romo plays 16 games I put us as the favorite.

impactful injuries to Dallas remains the best shot for gmen and skid fans.
Like the team management...I see more the 12-4 version than the latter

Cowboys need to get hurt for Skins to have any shot at division. It truly amazes me and im not trolling when I say this (trust me) but you guys keep forgetting that your team was woeful after Romo and Dez went down. WOEFUL. Won 2 out of 12 games. A QB just needs to manage a "great" team to be above average but that great team let everyone of your QB dropouts down. Got one cut.

Im just trying to understand how the fans of this team think by having these two players, save a couple more back that they suddenly are the toast of the division. Why? Because you were 2 and 0 before tragedy struck? Because you were 14 and 2 the year before? because the rookie back will emulate the glory days? Or all of the above?

My question to anyone is that what is to be believed... that the year prior was a fluke... or the last 14 games a fluke. Saying the team last year gave up because it lost its queen and rook early is a prime definition of wearing blinders. Many teams still won without key pieces in their starting lineups. Redskins being one. I understand we caught a break in division but we still had to win the games being played when we played them. Cowboys could not do that. What am I missing here? and spare me on the "we beat the Skins once" heard it,, been played out,, shit happens.

Even when Brady went down in week two Cassel led that team to the playoffs. A good team finds a way.. Cowboys went in a different direction. Serious question and im sorry if you view this as trolling... but why couldn't if this team is so hands down loaded with more talent than anyone else in division win more than 2 out of 14 games?

Take away Bobby Fischer's Queen and Rook and I can beat him, with his Queen I have no shot.

With all do respect... take away Bobby Fishers queen and rook and he still beats you in under ten moves. Dem just da facts. Not trying to be a dick...because he beats me in under eight.

Let me tell you both. I'm not being cocky when I say straight up there is no way Bobby Fischer beats me at chess today. I haven't played in a while now, but there is NO CHANCE he beats me and he can have all his pieces to try and do so.

This seems about as rosy and homerish as you can get, but what the Hell, it's August and we are all SB Champions as of today:
Good read IMO
Sullivan: Random Thoughts Include Whitehead’s Hustle, Smith’s Rehab

From the link

"Wideout Brice Butler might not be starting in Week 1 against the Giants, but he is going to start at some point this season. Not sure anyone has improved more in the last year among the skill-position players."

IMO if Brice can overtake TW as the #2 our all important depth at WR looks good.

this is too bad. Seemed like a great kid.

I don't think he was the answer either, but my issue wasn't that I thought Prescott or Showers would be better than him THIS YEAR. My issue was that I thought we should have brought someone else in case Romo goes down. So even though I wasn't a big fan, this could be a tough injury for us. Now we have to hope one of the kids steps up or bring someone in. I'm all for Foles.

You got it. Should have solidified the back up role in the off-season. The price for foles jjust went up.

When when he was alive he'd wipe the floor with me...and he wouldn't need his queen or EITHER rook to do it.
