Sources: Hassan Whiteside won't meet with the Lakers. He'll hold three meetings....with the Heat, Mavericks and Blazers.....in New York.

Whiteside may be the scariest commitment in league history. I almost feel like they are dodging a bullet by not bringing him on.

Batum is position-flexible for SG, SF, and PF. He can be on the floor for starter's minutes as a result, and is a better fit than Parsons.

No thanks. Conley isn't coming anyway; he knows enough not to sign where there is a high profile young PG in place.

They don't lack direction. They lack the personnel to be a serious contender. That's why KD won't visit with them.

He's not much of a perimeter threat though. Otherwise he's alright.

They have direction in regards to a youth movement (both players and coach). They just aren't ready for a current superstar to vault them into a serious contender. Maybe next summer if the core youth show legit growth and Walton proves himself as a head coach.

Yeah...90%. Personally I think he signs a 1-and-1 with OKC. But anything short of a 4/5-yr deal just brings this all up next offseason.

I have a feeling that the Heat won't offer Whiteside the max which will lead him to go to Dallas. If that's the case, I say the Heat spend the money on Batum and hopefully bring in Deng on the cheap ($6 mil per hopefully *wishful thinking*).
