So they have money to pay Durant ... but they "can't offer money they don't have" to Wade ?

Are you slow or stupid? Pick one.

They would have needed to trade both Dragic and McRobert to acquire a 27 year old Durant. They only needed to trade McRoberts to give Wade his money. Trying to trade Dragic to try an please a soon to be 35 year old Wade who only got at most 2 or 3 good years left in him would have been extremely stupid.

One guy is in the middle of his prime.....The other one is on his final legs and is likely retired in another 3 years.

Well, yes.
One is top 3 in his prime.

The other is father prime, aka often father time.

Where do the Cavs get 5M to pay Dunleavy?
He's a decent pickup if you're not giving up anything to get.
trade exception they have. I really want to know what the Bulls got back from the Lakers and Cavs. I hope maybe some 2nd rd picks.

The clowns on here really wanted Miami to try and trade Dragic/McRoberts to please a 34 year old injury prone guard with 2 or 3 years left? Like seriously if you guys don't realize how stupid that is

I think that was what really hurt Wade. Pat was willing to go the extra mile for KD but not for Wade. Cant blame Wade for going home. Again its not like he left to go some where else. He went home.

trade exception for varejao.....we used the haywood one to get frye...used the varejao one to get dunleavy- and still have 4.5M of it left.

I like the move.
If he stays healthy he'll be a rotation player.

you want to feel appreciated....i really think that Wade did his best to bring Whiteside along, nurtured him, feels responsible for the way he started playing under control after that last ugly incident in the winter--- and then they dude Wade guided to success becomes the priority and Miami is offering him more money than wade.....after a while that has to start chapping your ass.

And that logic is stupid. As turnup said one guy is in his prime while the other is in father prime. No way in hell was Miami trading Dragic to give Wade the money he wants for 1 or 2 more years. That was never happening
