Likely goes to Memphis to pair up with Conley (they've discussed doing so).
It'd be great for them to sign both, though I still don't think they crack the top 4 in the West.

Honest poll for everyone out there. Would you rather have Mozgof at 4/64 of Al Jefferson at 3/30?

Al Jefferson at 3/30. If the contracts were reversed I'd take Jefferson at 4/64.

47 games last year, only started 18 and isn't a rim protector. Lakers main targets this summer are rim protection and shooting.

Al Jefferson is also closer to an all-star level talent. Jefferson may have played 47 games last season. Yet he still saw more time than Mozgov.

Mozgov huh? What a blasé signing. I hope he's healthy and not plagued by knee issues. That clearly impacted his play last season. Based on last year's cap, his salary is only about $10mil per year. I'm very curious to see how this contract is structured. Hopefully there is at least a team option for year 4.

Mozgov does fill a Lakers' need at the center position. He's an efficient dive man in the pick and roll. Better than anything Russell and Clarkson had last season. He can hit the baseline midrange. He's a rim protector. He's at best an average defender the pick and roll though. Not a great passer from the elbow if the plan is to use him like Bogut.

I guess it's better than giving Noah 4 years/$72mil. Could be a good veteran for the kid Zubac to learn from.

That's certainly debatable. I'm curious as to how all of a sudden Mozgov was basically a garbage time player.

He played hurt last year and was marginalized by the Cavs' new system.

Easy answer for the Lakers. Mozgov fits their needs more so than Jefferson. Hopefully his knee is good. Curious to see how the contract is structured.

Talent and fit are two different things. The Lakers have enough players to divide shots between already; they need steady defense.

"Now with Whiteside agreeing to stay in Miami, the Heat can head into their Sunday meeting with Kevin Durant a bit more confident. They have one of the best rim protectors in the league in Whiteside, warm weather, cap space, no state income tax, the possible return of Chris Bosh and despite stalled talks, will likely bring back Wade.Durant may have his mind made up already but the Heat definitely have a lot to offer".
