Secondary has been hot garbage for years. Strangely, though Saban can recruit five-star talent nearly anywhere

... somehow doing so in the secondary eludes him.

I don't think they suck at all. Saban leaves his corners on an island and when the pass rush isn't getting there they are going to look bad. I watched Texas play this kind of defense for years when Duane Akina was our secondary coach who had complete control of the DB's. It is just the chance you take when you sell out to stop the run at all cost.

Once I saw the D wasn't consistently getting to Watson, saw the end in sight.
