I know a lot of people don't, but I like Lynch. I just don't see him on the Cowboys though. I don't think he is the 4th best player in the Country and I don't think he lasts to the 2nd round.
I'd be fine with Lynch, but I'd hope it was via trading back. If we took him at 4, I'd be on the wrong side of angry

So many scenarios, they are also said to be interested in Treadwell, but where would he go? If they really are considering Lynch and could get him at 14-15 or later maybe, Im sure they could find a trade partner and pick up several picks probably. Thats if they targeted Ramsey and he was gone at 4, and weren't loving Bosa or Buckner and Wentz or Goff were gone or not at the top of their list? Its going to get crazy I think this year w lots of moves from several teams
Maybe is the key. IMO Never trade down if you have one guy you really want. Just because Kiper says he will be there means nothing. If you like a guy, just take him...

I agree with this. My question would be about Spence though. I do think he is the best pass rusher in the draft. I understand his past problems. If Spence was the target, I wouldn't spend the 4rth pick on him.

I'd imagine the staff has done it's homework, when trading. If they have a good idea the player they want will be there 10/15 picks later, trading back 6 or 8 spots is smart if you find a trade partner.

agree with you. at 34 I think you roll the dice. Spence is relentless.

As far as Treadwell, I think he will be a good player in the NFL. With our needs on defense though, I would roll with Romo making Butler a good player. Now with Big Al Morris in the mix, I see no need to spend a 1st pick on a RB either. Only offense player - Qb

Unless they have spies, how do they do research about who other teams want to pick?

I should have been clearer. I would understand Wentz at 4 for the future. As far as I go, only defense. Romo has at least 3 more yrs

It's funny you say that. I don't think they necessarily have spies, but I do think they have info. on who teams will take. The year we got Dez- I remember Jerry traded up right in front of whoever was gonna take him supposedly.

I know it's just speculation, but every draft the talking heads say this team has to jump that team for a certain player and magically it happens, if the ESPN and NFL Network guys can figure it out I'd hope out draft team could.

Yeah, but they get paid to throw a bunch of shit against the wall and see what sticks. To the team it's a little more important to be correct. For every prediction that is right by the "talking heads" there are probably a dozen that were wrong.

No doubt that 3 could turn into 8 with a few more curves

Only if the shave down bone in his back and put a plate on it to strengthen it. Then he's good for a decade

There is no way Paxton Lynch gets taken in the top 10. He is nowhere close to being on the level of Goff or Wentz. I'd actually be shocked if someone took him in the first round. The kid has arm talent but lacks footwork. His accuracy is a byproduct of the offense he ran (Memphis used a LOT of screen passes). His decision making is questionable too. He is no more ready than Dak is right now. So for a team to draft him that high, its a steep price to pay. Where I see him is maybe if Dallas or another team in need of a "next guy" is able to grab him in the latter stage of the second round. But, the defensive talent that should be there at Dallas' 2nd pick (#2.4) I think will be too great to snag him. I liken Lynch's situation to Cardale Jones, which is another guy we might draft. Late 2nd or early 3rd is where I think those two will get taken. Dak will likely fall into that same range, and if those two are already gone, we may pull the trigger on Dak right there.
