The only thing that changed for me is maybe now we get Prescott in the 4th instead of the 3rd as I said in February. Really starting to like the LA Tech runner for the 3rd round
For where we can take Kenneth Dixon vs where we'd have to take Zeke - to me its a no-brainer. I don't see a lot of weaknesses in his game. I love his balance. Zeke has a higher ceiling because he is the superior athlete, though, I don't think it justifies the 50 or so draft slots that will separate these two come draft weekend. I think Dixon is a better prospect than Jeremy Langford who was also a little underrated last draft. I am happy to see the Cowboys coaching staff liked what they saw at the Senior Bowl too. I guess he and McFadden are training at the same place this off-season. Could be an omen.

sometimes there is a hunger in a player.(don't see that in Zeke) I think Dixon has it and will only get better
and....he might be the best pass catcher outta the backfield I've seen in years

I'm pretty much in full agreement with you about Kenneth Dixon. I identified him in January in my "2016 Offseason" thread as someone I would like the Cowboys to take a look at in the 3rd or 4th. Don't know if he makes it that far now. If Prescott is off the board in the 3rd, I am definitely hoping Dallas can land Dixon.

This mock has them taking Wentz at 4

NFL Mock Draft 4.0: Cowboys shake up Round 1, take a QB at No. 4

By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

March 23, 2016 11:23 am ET

It's impossible to look at the Cowboys and their No. 4 overall pick and not see it as the fulcrum for this draft. If Dallas decides to take a top defensive player, it's going to squeeze the talent at the top of the draft. If they get bold and go with a stud running back, all eyes are on Jerry Jones.

And what if they actually take a quarterback? There was chatter about it during the Senior Bowl, with Jason Garrett coaching up Carson Wentz. Maybe it's less likely for Dallas to snag a quarterback here given all the issues the Cowboys have for 2016 alone, but it's not unreasonable for the Joneses to consider it.

You only get so many looks at a top-five pick when you're actually in possession of a quarterback who is capable of winning a title (yes Tony Romo is that guy). When Romo is done playing -- and it can't be that long -- having a quarterback groomed behind him would be huge.

There's potential for it to backfire if Romo plays well for four years (see: Denver this year) and all of a sudden you've got a 27-year-old first-round pick and you're not sure whether or not he's capable of leading your team. But if the Cowboys think Romo might not be able to perform at a high level (because of injuries and age) for the next few years, they need to make a move.In the latest rendition of the mock, we've got them doing just that below.

1. Tennessee Titans
Laremy Tunsil, T, Mississippi: I keep wanting to do something different for Tennessee here (cornerback, pass rusher) but they need to protect Marcus Mariota, just invested in the running game and Tunsil's probably the best player in the draft.

2. Cleveland Browns
Jared Goff, QB, California: The Colin Kaepernick rumors are starting to cool in Cleveland, which means you can bank on them going quarterback at No. 2. Goff is part of an experiment here, but also very much in play for Cleveland if he's the guy Hue Jackson decides he likes.

3. San Diego Chargers
DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon: The Chargers need defensive help and while there might be other candidates here, this is the best combination of scheme and fit.

4. Dallas Cowboys
Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State: Would Dallas be willing to sacrifice a potential impact player for 2016 in order to secure the future? Tony Romo isn't going to play forever.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars
Jaylen Ramsey, DB, Florida State: The additions for Gus Bradley's defense continue, with the versatile Ramsey able to play all over the place.

6. Baltimore Ravens
Myles Jack, LB, UCLA:This might not be EXACTLY how things play out in the draft, but Ozzie Newsome walking away with incredible, franchise-altering value from a top-10 pick is what will happen.

7. San Francisco 49ers
Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State: With the two quarterbacks off the board and Kaepernick still in house the 49ers will happily snatch up a high-end defensive prospect.

8. Philadelphia Eagles
Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State: Looking at the teams on the board here it's hard to imagine Zeke getting out of the top 10. He's a worthy candidate with his skills, especially for a team with only Ryan Mathews to lean on.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida: The defense is changing with Lovie Smith gone and it needs some help in the secondary. Picking up a rangy athlete like Hargreaves is a good start.

10. New York Giants
Ronnie Stanley, OL, Notre Dame: This feels like the ultimate Tom Coughlin pick, which is fun because it would only serve to anger an already angry Coughlin who just had to watch his old team spend big in free agency on defense.

11. Chicago Bears
William Jackson III, CB, Houston: Just keep coming back to the idea of the Bears snagging a cornerback in the draft. Not like the offense is loaded, but with Kevin Whitehopefully getting to play this year that side of the ball already has a bonus addition.

12. New Orleans Saints
Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson: Defense, defense, defense. It's what the Saints probably need to draft for the next decade. They had success with Lawson's teammate Stephone Anthony last year as well.

13. Miami Dolphins
Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson: Clemson run! The Dolphins invested in the defensive line this offseason already but Cameron Wake (34) and Mario Williams (31) aren't exactly spring chickens.

14. Oakland Raiders
Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State: Reggie McKenzie hit gold with David Amerson on waivers but hasn't gotten the production he wants from D.J. Hayden. Dipping into the market for another corner isn't a bad idea at all for a suspect secondary.

15. Los Angeles Rams

Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis: Have had this locked in for a while and don't see the need to change it. The Rams are currently planning to start Case Keenum for the entire season and that feels a little bit foolish.

16. Detroit Lions

Laquon Treadwell, WR, Mississippi: Adding Marvin Jones to Golden Tate is a nice move but they need a big, physical red-zone threat with Calvin Johnson retired. Treadwell is a great answer for that.

17. Atlanta Falcons

Reggie Ragland, LB, Alabama: Capable, versatile leader for the middle of Dan Quinn's revamped defense.

18. Indianapolis Colts

Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State: Ryan Grigson's got to find ways to protect Andrew Luckand get more physical on the offensive line. This helps immediately.

19. Buffalo Bills

Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia: The Bills have talent to be a top-tier defense, even if it didn't flash last year. Rex Ryan getting another pass-rushing piece after Mario Williams left would be a big help.

20. New York Jets

A'Shawn Robinson, DT, Alabama: Expecting Muhammad Wilkerson might not be a permanent fixture within the Jets organization, the front office adds another big body on the defensive line.

21. Washington Redskins

Noah Spence, DL, Eastern Kentucky: Scot McCloughan wants talented, physical players and he's willing to gamble Spence's troubles are behind him.

22. Houston Texans

Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame: By adding Lamar Miller and Brock Osweiler, the Texans nearly reinvented their offense overnight. Now adding a deep-speed threat across from DeAndre Hopkins puts them over the top.

23. Minnesota Vikings

Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor: Steal here for the Vikings, desperately in need of help for Teddy Bridgewater. Not a perfect route tree but an explosive playmaker.

24. Cincinnati Bengals

Josh Doctson, WR, TCU: Receiver run! The Bengals lost both Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones during free agency and need help at the position. Give Andy Dalton a weapon from his alma mater.

25. Pittsburgh Steelers

Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson: This is a defense badly in need of help in the secondary. Alexander's (relative) fall here gives them some nice value.

26. Seattle Seahawks

Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama: Pete Carroll from the top rope! Pete Carroll from the top rope!!! The Seahawks blow the draft wide open by taking a powerful running back to replace Marshawn Lynch. Thomas Rawls fantasy owners cringe, but what a one-two punch the Seahawks have the next three years minimum.

27. Green Bay Packers

Cody Whitehair, OL, Kansas State: The Packers get more physical and deep on offensive line, with concerns about contracts for Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang coming up.

28. Kansas City Chiefs

Darron Lee, LB, Ohio State: This speedy linebacker slots in with an already stout defense to give the Chiefs another weapon on that side of the ball.

29. Arizona Cardinals

Taylor Decker, OL, Ohio State: The Cardinals snag another offensive line prospect to help protect Carson Palmer, giving them a full season to develop Decker if need be.

30. Carolina Panthers

Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State: The Panthers defense is stout but it could still use some pass rush help off the edge and Ogbah gives them just that.

31. Denver Broncos

Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama: Best player available here for the Broncos as they look to fill some of the holes created by the mass exodus during free agency.

It's not that I dislike Wentz, but if we are win now I just don't see how he will be a Cowboy- especially if Jack, Elliott, RAmsey are still on the board. Maybe I'm blind to the fact my hero is getting older . Now if those 3 go before we pick, then maybe

Yeah, most likely was still at ESPN post banning. I liked Shark a lot. He was funny. He came back once or twice after the banning and was using an alias he pm'ed me about. But I think he had kind of lost interest even before he was banned.

You never know who ends up where. I don't think Elliot will be there in the 2nd, but every year someone gets blasted for something like that and every year someone pulls a Bowers and drops like a rock and someone pulls a Gholston and gets picked real early. I know you aren't going to like my choice, but I think a chance Wentz drops a little and won't go in the top 10 and could be even be the 3rd QB taken. Now of course a team could trade up with Tenn and take him #1 for all I know!!!

Three team in the top 10 have needs at QB. Cleveland, SF, and Philly. even if Goff and Lynch go before Wentz it probably means Wentz goes to Philly, especially considering theres talk of them trying to move up for him.

Oh trust me, I'm not stating it will happen, more a feeling i have. Like I said, I wouldn't be shocked if he goes top 2. If it's my call I wouldn't consider him over Goff, but last I checked no one invites me into their draft room

There's quite a few on here who have to be able to draft better tan some of these teams, so maybe you do have a shot.
