Buddy has been really good with the Kings, and the 1st round pick they got should be in the lottery. The trade also helped them secure their 1st round pick in a pretty good draft. Had they kept Cousins they probably end up just missing the playoffs or finishing 8th and being steamrolled by GSW while losing their 1st round pick(if it ends up outside the top 10 they lose it). So they traded Cousins and got back possibly their SG of the future and possibly 2 lottery picks. Maybe they could have gotten more, but they were stuck in the mud going nowhere with Boogie and something had to be done.

Hield has shown some good signs. They also get a lottery pick from the Pelicans this year in a great draft. We won't be able to judge this trade correctly for at least another 3 years. One thing I do know is that as great of a player as Cousins is, they were not winning with him and they were able to get 2 lottery picks in B2B years for him. I think they did solid. Just about how Hield and whoever they draft with the Pelicans lottery pick this summer turns out.

Hield numbers with the Kings are actually really good. Rookie of the year caliber had he put up those numbers all season long. AVG 15 PPG on 49% shooting and 44% from 3 since coming to the Kings. He will only get better.

We'll see though.

For sure lol. Hield + those 2 picks added to the core of Skal, WCS, and Richardson along with probably a high pick next year has me more excited than trying to build around Cousins with limited assets.

It's top 3 protected this year, top 1 protected 3 years straight after. They'll probably end up around 10 or 11, the lottery better not bullshit launch them into the top 3.

because its fun to watch Kyrie Irving kick ass and establish himself as one of the best in the game. Its fun to watch Kevin Love play his best basketball as a Cav. Its fun to watch LeBron James get more triple doubles this year then he has in the last 5 combined. Its fun to watch LeBron set CAREER HIGHS in assists and rebounds. Its fun to watch guys like Kyle Korver shoot 50% from 3

but--- as fun as that stuff is.....

it doesnt mean a thing until the REAL NBA season starts. Cavs will have time to rest, practice, and get everyone going. They are gonna beat the shit outta the East as usual- No series will go 7. Id say the lose a combined 4-6 games throughout the 3 rounds.

I'd be very happy if the Kings got DSJ and Tatum, both are top 5 talents. I'm a little worried about DSJ's previous ACL injury and don't think Tatum could fall that far, but we'll see. Getting one of the PG's and SF's listed in the top 11 picks on that mock draft is still the main goal.
