of course they werent gonna assume LeBron was coming back. All they could do was clear as much cap room as possible, acquire as many assets as possible, put together as many good young players as possible- and sell that to LeBron.

Luckily they did enough of that- sold LeBron on playing with Love and Irving as better and younger fits then Bosh and Wade- and to play for an owner who would not cheap out like Arison.

The rest is history. LeBron went to 4 straight Finals and won 2 titles and left Miami without a 2nd thought and kept on going while Miami has sunk into irrelevance.

Irrelevance?
From a Cavs fan?
Heat were 1 win from the ECF, 1 year removed from James and playing without a max/ all star player in Bosh.

Of course we won't win many games this year, but it is more than likely just a 1 season intentional plan then any long term Cavish like pattern.

"I personally guarantee that the Cleveland Cavaliers will win an NBA championship before the self-titled former 'King' wins one." - Dan Gilbert

Then the team tanks.

"Some people think they should go to heaven and not have to die to get there".

-The more telling line in Gilbert's letter.

Surprised we got no posts on here regarding Pop's comments about the election...Instead we got more bickering from Heat/Lakers/LeBron fans, so I guess I really shouldn't be surprised.

If you want to talk about the election, fuck off to the politics forum with the other degenerates and lowlifes.

Then what the fuck are you doing white knighting Wiggy when you don't even know what's going on?

LOL I know exactly what's going on...You sucking up to Heat fans as usual.

And yes, Gilbert's line about some people have to die before they go to heaven absolutely applies here, because Miami fans still haven't learned that notion yet.

No you don't. It has nothing to do with the Heat. I'd suggest you stay out of things when you don't know what's going on (so pretty much all of the time).

The fact that you think that line applies, shows you have no fucking clue.

I expected the Kings to get blown out by the Blazers, and they just forced overtime. Portland is still gonna win, but at least they didn't just roll over.

It's funny as shit to take a step back and see Wiggy argue. Seriously. Dude literally swaps his principles only while talking about the Heat. Anything that can be taken with a 50/50 view of positive/negative he'll always take the low road.

Fuck out of here with Philly's plan is working and that they're so much better than the Heat. Philly finally won a November/December game since the start of Obama's 2nd term. They've been hot garbage since 2012 and they're going to hang another winner of a season. At some point you keep losing, that's all you're known for. At least prior to this season the Heat had been to the playoffs for 17 of the last 21 years. And yeah, I guess being one win from the ECF without 2 of our 3 best players in Whiteside and Bosh makes us irrelevant. Boy I forgot about all those games the Cavs won without Lebron.

And I wouldn't be surprised if by next year Miami's in the playoffs as a top 4 seed in the East in 2018. Where's Philly going to be? Trying to hold onto the players they drafted high in the lottery because they've sucked for so long that some of those rookie contracts are about to go up.
