Yes -- better than I remembered -- a lot because of Gobert.

I've looked back at that one and thought "who were the Cavs considering that they should have taken?" -- and always struggled for who they should have done instead. (without knowing that Gobert/Giannis would break out ... obviously anyone would have ended up to be better than Bennett)

Oladipo has been most common answer -- but at the time, I remember no one thought he should go #1. Porter is interesting because he looked disappointing the first couple of years -- now he looks good -- could be "most improved player" -- and maybe even get a Max. They were impatient -- or they should have just taken Noel and waited a year. (again -- based on what we knew at the time)

I remember in that draft I thought Otto Porter was the best prospect and Oladipo second behind him. I also thought Cody Zeller was going to be really good too, but appears that was wrong.

I really didn't pay too much attention to the draft because the Warriors initially didn't have a pick before buying one for Nedovic (who was gone in a year and a half).

Dubs are going to have a harder road to the Finals this year. It's going to take time for the Warriors to adjust for life without Durant for the rest of the regular season. If they get him 100% healthy, I still think they make the playoffs. But they're going to have to do it as the number 2 seed in the West.

It is interesting to go back and look at articles from the time to see what they were saying. I quickly looked at four rankings from Y2013 -- and two project Len to go #1, one said Bennett and one said Noel.

Below is Chad Ford's ranking and two comments about Bennett.

I actually am starting to come around to the idea that they get taken down by the Rockets.

Depends if Durant's playing. I think GSW will win regardless, depends all on Durant on how competitive the series would be.

Honestly the teams that scares me the most to play without having KD is Memphis and Utah. Both teams like to slow the pace and force the Warriors into more half court offense. KD is invaluable to the team at being able to get to the line and manufacture points in the half court.

Against the Rockets, Steph, Klay and Draymond all thrive in the free flow. The Warriors defense is still elite and have enough fire power to keep up. Same goes for the Spurs who like to play a pretty good pace as well and space the floor with their bigs. Wide open games, even against elite teams like the Rockets and Spurs, I'm still very confident about.

KD is much more needed in half court games and provides another outlet for when teams get super physical up front.

A Cavs route seems much more likely now. 2 of the Heat top 5 players are now out. Sucks

Cavs by 15 at least with the news of those 2 injuries. Before that, I thought we would lose by single digits

There goes any chance we had, which was already slim.
That's a huge, huge loss for us.
One of the best bench duos in the league.

No doubt Cavs will try to run up the score.
Whatever.
If I was offered the split 2 nights ago, I take it.

You changed your Avi.
I change it depending on what forum I'm trolling.

When I changed to #44, the GOAT, I was in an argument in the politics thread.

When it was Winston, I was in an argument in the "Winston says women should be silent" thread.

I forget what it was before, but there was a good reason.

I never just change my av just to change it, always a good reason, remember this.

Same. I never expected to win this game. I felt better about the home game even if Lebron and Kyrie played. Now I just hope we keep it close for 3 quarters and the Bulls take care of the Pistons
