The Lakers 33 game winning during the '71-'72 season never happened because it wasn't the 1980's. All hail wiggy!

The Lakers played some championship caliber basketball last night. Swappy P was on fire!

They made a nice little run and cut a 31 point lead down to 11 or 13. Then they ran out of gas.

With apologies to @Wamu

Celtics Point Guard Isaiah Thomas on Magic and the Lakers:

"Some superstar is going to come here. It's good. Magic Johnson is arguably the best Laker ever so to have him ahead of all that and making decisions, it's a step in the right direction. Everybody respects him. I mean, the Lakers are not going to be, I guess, what they are now forever. He will bring some people here."
Might be him in 2018 if the Celtics draft Fultz or Ball.

On a side note, I THOUGHT Cp3 broke his hand again.

If he and Blake stay with the Cursed Clippers they are retarded.

I'm not one to believe in curses, but the Clippers are making me re-think my position. Something is wrong there. I'm not just talking about injuries to every star player they've ever had either.

Even when they are healthy and one of the deepest, most talented teams in the league, they just can't seem to play up to the level of their talent and win big games. Looking at their roster, they should be fighting with GSW and the Spurs for the top seed, not trying to hold off OKC for the 5th seed.

Somewhere along the line they must have done something really heinous to truly anger the basketball gods.

lol Maybe. This has been going on with the Clippers for decades though. If memory serves, it goes all the way back to when they were in San Diego, signed Bill Walton in Free Agency and his feet fell off.

They're only trying to hold off OKC for the 5th seed because their top 2 players each missed over a month of action this year. If they been as healthy as the other top 3 were (prior to the Durant injury), they would be right up there with Houston for the 3rd seed. Hard to keep up that place when you're top 2 players missed 21 games this year.

Name the last big game the Clipper won with or without them? When was the last time they got past the 2nd round in the playoffs? They get both guys back and lose back to back games to the Rockets and Bucks. Those are exactly the type of teams they should be beating if they are to be taken seriously as contenders.

Plus, injuries are part of "the curse."

The Clippers just can't have nice things.

3-1 against the Spurs and Cavs this season

And still trying to hold off OKC for 5th. A team that deep shouldn't be in that position. They should be able to make it through missing a star player for a month.

They just got blown out by the Rockets and handed over a game to the Bucks with sloppy play (23 turnovers).

Everyone on their team outside of Paul and Blake are role players. Yeah they're deep but those guys need Paul and Blake in the lineup to be successful.

And 4-7 in the west is very tight. I would bet my money on the Clippers finishing as the 4th seed. Only one L behind Utah for 4th. Utah has a ridiculous schedule between March 8-March 20. The Clippers will be the 4th seed.

I think the Clips finish as the 5 seed. But even a 4 seed is too low for the roster they have, imo.
