Larry Brown on Phil: "If he wants to run the triangle, he should coach and teach them to get guys who can play it."

What we had was 11 games missed by the Cavs 2nd and 3rd best player.

And then 2.5 games missed by the Warriors 6th best player.

The 1 game suspension that resulted from an accumulation of flagrant fouls isn't even worthy of mentioning in the same breath as injuries that can't be controlled.

And the Warriors were up 3-1 in that series with a healthy Bogut and Draymond Green pre-suspension. Everything worked well for the Cavs when Draymond got suspended for game 5 at home and we know the rest. Just because you don't want to bring it up, doesn't mean it happened. Everyone outside of Cavs fans thought it was questionable for him to be issued a technical for that even we all know Lebron instigated the whole mess to begin with.

Not really. We've had injuries and suspensions in both series on both sides. The last Finals the Heat went into, both teams were fully healthy. Every single Heat fan that has a functioning brain cell will acknowledge that the Spurs were just the flat out better team in 2014.

See, this is what I was trying to say in that other thread...the Warriors this year (before KD went down obviously) are one of the greatest teams ever assembled. They play some of the highest level basketball that is possible, and are certainly the best team in the league.

When I posted this, everyone shouted me down about how you can't say that until they win a ring. I agree that accomplishment means rings, but in terms of sheer ability and game play I stand by it, even if they lose in the Finals like the Spurs in 2014. There are other examples a-plenty, like the Mavericks in 2011. They won the ring, but were they the best team at playing basketball that year? Obviously they were for the playoffs, but that's not my point.

The Warriors are among the all time great basketball teams, you are watching greatness with them, same as other great teams you remember. In 30 years someone who is 15 years old now will be schooling the youngsters about how they got to see those mid 2010s Warriors teams play, and these newfangled 2047 Nets ain't shit.
