I wonder if the Warriors are thinking about bringing Terrence Jones on board. His 3 isn't great but I think he could fit. Not sure who they'd get rid of to make room for him though.

I heard about it too. Previous to the injury, I would have much preferred Jones.

But with KD out, Barnes fits more in with what the Warriors do. Jones would have been more of a luxury.

The Warriors just simply don't have much wiggle room to cut guys any more. Here's their roster:

Obvious untouchables:
Steph
Klay
KD
Draymond
Zaza
Iguodala
Livingston
West
McGee
Clark

Rookies:
McCaw
D. Jones
Looney (second year, but really first considering he was injured last year)

Others:
McAdoo
Barnes

McAdoo has been playing really well lately. He's played himself into the rotation and leapfrogged Looney. The Warriors aren't going to cut any of their rookies. So really the only spot they have available is the one they just signed Barnes for, and McAdoo.

Sorry, I edited my post too slowly. Jones over McAdoo is an easy choice, right?

4 weeks ago, absolutely. Even now, I think it's a really close argument. The only thing is that McAdoo has been backing up the 5 when McGee hasn't been effective. You really only have 2 playable centers right now on the roster in Pachulia and McGee.

McAdoo has been playing much better than Looney, so he's out of the rotation. D. Jones is a rookie and looks pretty raw and not going to contribute at all.

The problem with Terrance Jones is that he can't play the 5. It would force Draymond to play there more during the regular season and that could cause some wear and tear that's not needed for him right now.

Jones is a superior player to McAdoo, but need right now is important for the Warriors too.

Glad to hear Durant should be good for the playoffs.

It'll be interesting to see if the Spurs put up a fight for the 1 seed.

watch though- if the Cavs win the Finals- even if Durant is back before the playoffs start- itll be because of his injury....:L

Well they will have to do something because they're in the process of signing Jose Calderon too- which according to sources they plan to do before finalizing Barnes' deal.

Highly doubt anyone would bring that up. He has more than enough time and unlike Curry who came back earlier than he should. Durant will get more time than he needs probably.

Also nobody said the reason the Cavs won was because of Steph being hurt. Most just acknowledged that Curry wasn't the player he was before the injury.

More people use the Dray suspension as the reason than Steph not being 100%.

If Durant was on the 76ers, he wouldn't be back until 2018-2019.

They're signing Calderon, then cutting him to sign Barnes. They're doing this as a show of good faith to Calderon, so he gets paid, and the Warriors honor their word with them. Great way to show all free agents how the Warriors do business.

Oh definitely.

I've given up on the possibility of a no-excuse-Warriors-Cavs-matchup. If last year wasn't good enough, no year will ever be. There's always an excuse if you really want to find one.
