Because he was an arrogant punk in prior years that didn't produce. His lack of production, however was in my opinion due to not fitting well in Byron Scott's system. Scott was not a people person and Luke Walton is a really unique coach so far that brings out the best and best effort out of his players. He literally gave the guy a lifeline when his career was sinking. I liked him in the past, and kind of thought that the others were being a little harsh on him, but last year he was barely 7 ppg and 1.8 rpg and this year he is 12 ppg and 2.3 rpg and his defense is really an improved one. Props to Swaggy for making a serious effort over the summer to improve his game.

Because he's been a losing, low basketball IQ knucklehead his entire career. There are players in this league that have talent but just aren't worth it. Nick Young is one of those players.

Something fans have to understand is y'all get mad when players leave during free agency or hold out for money.. We have to do what's best for US, we have a small window to make as much money as we can.. Remember this is a BUSINESS when you can no longer serve your purpose these teams cut you trade you or bury you on the bench! Case in point, Lance gets hurt playing & needs surgery now, so instead of supporting him & helping him get healthy they cut him!

maybe putting him onto a team where he needs to take the initiative and be assertive is the best thing that could happen to him in the long term. The guy is a great talent- but has been really soft mentally.

He's exactly right.
It's a BUSINESS for both the players and owners.
That's why I never say players shouldn't use their FA to do whatever they think is best for themselves.
