David Aldridge @daldridgetnt

If Mavericks waive (not a buyout) Deron Williams, all signs point to DWill quickly working out a deal with the Cavs, per league sources.

If the Cavs get Williams -- that is another big win for Dave Griffin. 2-3 weeks ago people were calling him an idiot for not just signing anyone to reduce Kyrie & Lebron's minutes.

It is interesting that this may be due to Mavs signing Yogi Ferrell -- who looked great -- and then meant Mavs had too many PGs. (like JJ coming back)

pretty wonderful trade deadline in my view.....cmon Cavs...please somehow get Deron Williams and or bogut here......would be amazing.

if the Cavs can get Deron Williams ONLY----- ONLY him- you would have to love the work David Griffin has done

Korver, Williams and Williams----- that is without a doubt a damn fine job of restocking.

As a Warrior fan, I would much prefer the Cavs sign Williams over Bogut. Williams would be a nice scoring addition to the second unit, but he doesn't really solve any defensive issues. Bogut would be able to provide defense and rebounding, but also with so many shooters in Korver, JR, Frye, etc, on the second unit, you could use him as a high post passer, much as the Warriors did. Also his screens would create a lot more free space for those guys too. That's much scarier to me.

Buyout day is here, are you listening?
In the Q, the fans are whistling
A beautiful sight
were happy tonight
Deron Williams and Bogut are coming to "The Land"

Gone away is the Mozgov
Here to stay is the Bogut
he dribbles the ball
the Celtics will fall
Bringing another title to "The Land"

In the Q Griffin built a Big 3
When healthy they beat up on Golden State
LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie
There is no need to wait
Lets get another title for "the Land"

;)

i get what you are saying- and id agree with Bogut was playing a little better.

Even if Bogut comes to Cleveland- he is gonna be well behind Love, Frye and Thompson- he wouldnt be a guy you would play for more than 10-15 minutes a game. While that is PERFECT for the role he would have--- Deron Williams isa guy who has been playing a lot more this year and could do some nice things.

i just think Williams would have a much bigger role than Bogut. Its why i wouldnt be too devastated if they get Sanders instead of Bogut--- dont get me wrong- id rather have Bogut--- but Bogut really hasnt been so hot this year. 10-15 minutes a game as the 4th big and some dpeth in case something happens? AMAZING....anything more than that and i gotta question if he could handle it.

that is rather ironic

the discovery of Yogi Ferrell by the Mavs is likely what made Deron Williams expendable and a possibility for the Cavs

thanks Yogi!

After getting Lou Williams -- I'm not sure they would really need DWill.

Yeah the D-Will part didn't really need to be included. Just that Houston will likely go hard after Bogut.

mayhap...

but seems that you're the only one "defecating" on the move. no one else thinks it's that bad...
i think its terrible

Id rather have PJ tucker any day of the week and he got moved for 2 2nd rounders. Bogdon blows.

id much rather have deron williams and he just got released! lol.

i seriously cannot believe the Wizards gave up a first round pick that scrubass- especially since he is a RFA this offseason. If he had a great contract- like 2 remaining years at 3-5M a year- MAYBE- id still think it was gawd awful but at least it would have some redeeming qualities

giving up a 1st rounder in a loaded draft that will be somewhere between 20-25 for the right to pay Bogdon?

AWFUL...just awful.

I wouldn't say the Raptors gave up a lot to get Ibaka, if that gets them over the hump than great (most likely not)...Ohh and he is a free agent next year and already getting 12 mil. So he is basically a 30 game and playoff rental. Is it worth giving up Ross and 1st rounder?...most likely still is
