Only you would compare payrolls, when its apples and oranges in most every situation.

Lets compare results.

Do the Cavs still have the 9.6 M exception?
Why?

Can the Cavs match what the Heat accomplished, yet alone inprove on it?

You're tons of words add up to nothing but rhetoric.
do you ever find yourself dumbstruck by the fact you are trying to frame the Cavs as cheap just like the Heat when they have the HIGHEST PAYROLL IN THE HISTORY OF THE LEAGUE.

lol....

I mean dude....you are making yourself look foolish - the Heat never even had a top 2 payroll in any ONE year...

the Cavs have the HIGHEST PAYROLL IN THE HISTORY OF THE ENTIRE NBA. They are outspending the #2 team in a way that would make Mickey Arison poop himself.

you have to get real here...lol.....just enjoy watching your rebuilding lotto team knowing if your owner would have shelled out more dough youd be in the Finals again.

well you just left avenues unused that you COULD have used. Like i said- there is a reason why in LeBron's 4 years there the Heat averaged 8th in payroll.

when you leave your mid-level exception TOTALLY UNUSED- i mean- you could have spent it- but you didnt want to pay the DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR TAX ON IT. The Cavs used theirs on Richard Jefferson- and where they are at- it wasnt just DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR to bring him back- it was more like 3-1.

when you signed Joel Anthony to a dumb contract he didnt deserve, what did the heat do? They got RID OF their first round pick just to shed salary. HEre Boston- take Joel Anthonys bad contract off our hands- its not like we are like the Cavs and 1st by a MILE i npayroll. Its not like we are the Cavs and it will save us 3 dollars for every 1 dollar we shed--- were just kinda cheap- instead of using that first round pick on a player or using it to TRADE for a guy like the Cavs just did with Kyle Korver--- wer are just gonna tie that first rounder to a hunk of burning cash to save Mickey Arison a little money.

The Heat were NEVER even top 2 in payroll ever...they were, i nthe 4 years there 22nd, 5th, 3rd and 3rd. The Cavs have been 2, 1 and 1. LeBron expects ownership to match his historic talent with a historic effort from ownership- that means spending.

As much as i criticize the Lakers- when Kobe was in his prime- and they were winning titles- they were #1 in the league in payroll trying to win it every year.

Can you imagine coming to LeBron- and him asking why you just didnt use the MLE, and the team being like--- ehhh--- no one we really wanted (that was the year that you COULD have signed a guy like DeMarre Carrol- a guy who played his way into a big contract for being a solid- defensive minded 3-- no WAY you could have used that to cut down Bron'sminutes, lol). Or coming to LeBron--- yah- we didnt think we could get anyone good with our firt rounder- so we just used it to save some cash. Cool?

We amnestied a guy who went on to shoot 46% freaking PERCENT FROM 3 PLAYING IN ALL 82 GAMES that was LEBrons bud. Why would you need a guy who shoots 46% from 3 around LeBron?--- SAVE THE CASH!

The fact is- If the Heat were #1 in payroll year after year, and ownership committed at the same level LeBron James commits himself to the game- the Cavs would likely be still rebuilding around Kyrie/Wiggins/Waiters/Thompson + about 5 other first round picks--- and the Heat would be at the top of the East and not waste deep in the lotto with no plan in site to contend with anyone like the Cavs or CEltics or Raptors- and far behind even other rebuilding teams like the Bucks and Sixers. If they committed to LeBron the way the Lakers committed to Kobe or the way the Cavs are committing to LeBron the history of the league would currently be different in all likelihood.

as i said- if i ever meet Mickey- id thank him.

@trojanfan12, you called it. Want to go to Vegas.

I said the Cavs were being cheap?
Wanna bet? Find it.
I never said that, as much as it pains me, I've defended Gilbert.

Apparently James is thinking he's cheap, he's the one whining about lack of spending, right???

You continue to rip Arison for some saving some cash that would have been totally wasted.

Yet, the Cavs need help, help apparently can be had, and Cavs have a 9.6M exception.
On top of that, the help they had, Delly/Mozgov were let go because of MONEY.

YOU, 1000x, said money would never be a factor...so....why isn't Gilbert spending it?

it was about as hard to predict as sunrise...

odds were in tf12's favor...:dhd:
hey ill give the Lakers credit- when you have Kobe Bryant in his prime - a top 10 player EVER- you spend. They were #1 in the league and spent a ton of cash. Its what you do when you have a historic talent.

If you anyone thinks guys like Kobe and LeBron are going to accept anything less than the type of commitment they display from ownership - they are just sorely mistaken.

Arison didnt commit to LeBron like Gilbert has, or like Dr. Buss did with Kobe. Its just a fact.

Doesn't Gilbert have an unused 9.6M exception, and James is whining the Cavs need more help?

WHO GIVES A FUCK WHAT THEIR PAYROLL IS IF THEY CLEARLY ARE BEHIND THE WARRIORS AS FAR AS TALENT AND THEY HAVE THE ABILTY TO ADD, BUT WON'T.

Dubs take a 17-point lead into the 4th in LA. I'm sorry, @Mecca. I'll send some crank pics to cheer you up. ;)
As long as it's not Draymond's, I'm down....lol

Clippers have the Spurs number.

Well, what's left of the Clippers do.
seeding should be important/interesting.

you think Melo stays with NY?

i kinda do- i dont think Boston wants to ruin their chemistry and they have plenty of assets to get an actual difference maker at some point like a Butler etc....

the Clippers would have to make seismic shifts in their roster to accomodate Anthony.

and the Cavs arent giving up Love, and cant give up Thompson/Shumpert- their best 2 defenders - for Anthony.

Phil really boxed himself into a corner here.

Yep.

He's been pretty clear he is not waiving his no trade clause.

I think they would literally have to give him to the Cavs, Warriors for no significant return to make him waive it.

That can't happen for financial reasons.

Going to the Clipoers, even with Paul, Blake, JJ and Jordan could still be a 2nd round out.

So, he's not interested, and rightfully so.
