Shump, Frye, + trade exception for Wade?

Why not?

Gives Cavs Wade + roster spot.

I don't think that's a great move for Cleveland. It hurts their defense big time. Cavs don't exactly need more offense. Losing Shump would be huge. Wade can't play defense like that anymore.

its tough.

I would say reflexively "no" for a couple reasons.

A. like bks said--- losing Shumpert- the teams best perimeter defender not named LeBron, would be a major loss

B. losing 2 for 1--- especially when that 1 is an injury prone guy- certainly doesnt help the Cavs depth. Frye is only backup big man on the Cavs roster id trust in the playoffs.

C. Shump and Frye are both shooting the 3 great--- Wade sucks at shooting the 3.

only reason you do it is LeBron whines enough and insists he wants it done.

plus- if i am not mistaken- which i am usually not- you cant just aggregate the trade exception with players....it has to be its own thing.

you cant add like a 5M trade exception to say Shumps 10M contract and get to 15M.

Great accomplishment for Waiters.

the dude is super talented. he legitimately has all star talent if he could ever really learn the game of basketbal land give consistent intelligent effort on a nightly basis.

the one down-side to Waiters is that- he is at his best on a team like Miami is right now. He LOVES having the ball in his hands and can be good having the ball in his hands...but like Dragic- if you are a good team...do you REALLY want Waiters and Dragic having the ball in their hands since its how they are most effective?--- if thats the case you prob. arent winning anything consistently.

An interesting stat from last night's Hawks - Knick game is that Millsap played 61 total minutes including 35 straight.

(A related interesting stat ... Wilt Chamberlain averaged 48.5 minutes / game one year -- same year he averaged more than 50 points / game.)

thats pretty crazy...48.5 per game....no wonder his stats were insane....lol.

imagine having LeBron play all 48 minutes against a league with as little talent as Wilt did back then.....playing in some podunk gym in the middle of Pennsylvania during a 100 pt game where there isnt even VIDEO evidence, lol.

no way you could do that in todays game. RW is the closest we will have to a guy going for humongous stats like this--- even LeBron had no interest and his game didnt conform to what RW is doing right now.

quick question for you guys- who can answer off the top of their heads without looking it up

3 teams in the NBA have at least 3 players averaging 19 points a game

2 of them are the Warriors and Cavs- with Durant/Curry/Thompson and LeBron/Irving/Love

who is the third team?

Fun Fact:

Marc Gasol is shooting a higher percentage from 3 this year than Klay Thompson.

Who is gonna trade fir Ibaka now that tge Magic are giving up on that shit show?

Celtics and Raps could use him.

But, I have a feeling he might end up being a cog in the Melo deal.
