Cavs play Golden State January 16 for the rematch. So assuming they meet in the finals, there will be about 5 months that have past by at the time of game 1 of the finals. So even though this game was fun and the 2nd game will probably be just as fun, it will mean nothing come June. So much will be different by then. Different players, Different lineups, and etc.

Spurs on Fire. I think they are mad that they lost last time. They only missed 1 shot so far.

Blow out. I didn't expect a win here but wanted to see a good game.

Why will there be different players and lineups (barring injury)?

They have nobody to play. He is a huge downgrade from Bogut. Many didnt believe it but Pachulia is just not a very good player

I hope they get Noel

In the playoffs rotations change and teams usually only go 8 or 9 deep. As for players, you don't know what minor trade both teams might pull off then you also have to consider the buyout period. Last year the Cavs acquired Frye and was pretty close to getting Joe Johnson. I think the Warriors will find a way to get another big. ZaZa is not cutting it IMO.

I got the Ravens/Steelers game on now. I like Pittsburgh's all black uni's.
I might turn to that game if this gets a little more out of hand. Then I will go back and forth. Bulls making a little push here.

Why is no one mentioning the clock situation after the 24-second shot clock expired?

Everyone is saying the refs screwed up giving the Cavs a free timeout? That's not the refs fault. The clock kept going for like 3 more seconds and they have to fix that. What do you want them to do? Guess the correct time? Just throw away 3 seconds?

Also... if you're going to mention LeBron not getting a tech... I'm gonna need an opinion on RJ getting a tech for that wink.

As for the last play by Durant. That was a foul. Looking at the replay, there was no shove in the back at all, but RJ stepped on his foot. I doubt you're ever gonna see that called in that situation, though, right or wrong.

The only meaning this game could have is if it impacts who gets home-court advantage... which is not that unlikely of a scenario, actually, imo.

Also @msgkings322 as you know, in the playoffs the starters play more minutes. Durant and Steph will probably be at around 40 MPG in a series vs Cleveland IMO.

I think what I saw from the cavs defensively today was to force anyone but curry to beat it seemed lol

Richard Jefferson throws it down in the face of Durant and Thompson in the 4th qtr...lol

and Kyrie Irving does his thing and his play once again dwarfs Currys when it matters.

Who do you want taking a shot at the end of the game if you could have your pick in the league?

quite simply

Once I saw RJ's poster on Klay, I didn't even care if the Cavs won. That made the game for me:-)

I agree. The two are very close in terms of record. A Cavs win would give them the tiebreaker if the two finish with the same regular season record

Sure I just meant the teams will be substantially the same, unless the Ws do get a big. And even then it won't be a major change.

But yes obviously the rotations get shorter.

That strategy may work to be honest with you. Steph needs to be better. Durant will need him and Klay to produce at a high level if they want to beat Cleveland in the finals. Also Iggy looked bad tonight. Has he been that bad all year? Just curious
