Forgot about them being in the same conference.

That's problematic.

Yeah, imo, the smart move is to ship him out West and let him be that conference's problem. But that Lakers/Celtics rivalry runs deep. Especially with the guys from the 80's. lol

Should be another interesting off season and even into the first half of next season. Lots of teams are in a position to improve significantly with just a move or 2.

Maybe its easy for me to say... but I'd much rather my team have a season like the Heat, competitive and entertaining right down to the last game and miss the playoffs... then have my team tanking and not watchable for half the season.

The lottery is a crapshoot anyway

One thing I don't like about the playoffs is the Celtics don't have a chance in hell to win it all...I mean the playoffs take too damn long. It's time the NBA mans-up like baseball & plays 2 a days during the playoffs. Just get that shit over w/ since my team ain't winning!

I was happy when the Showtime Lakers run was finally over. I hope this doesn't sound biased but I like the current version of the Lakers much better than any of their winning ones.

Every game the heat played meant something, There were compelling reasons to watch and hope for a win. If I was a Heat fan I would have been invested and interested throughout the season (especially post all-star break though).

If I was a Nets or Lakers or Suns fan, though? That would be really hard for me to be invested in this season. You can get excited about watching some of the promising players... but there's little reason to hope for a win or care about any given game. Little reason to even tune into most of the games.

For me personally as a fan, that experience of enjoying the season and playing for wins is worth something.

I don't know any Heat fan that wanted to see this team not go for it once they showed they were really good.
I feel very good about the season and the future.
Yes, some choices need to be made this summer.
Lets see how the money is flying around before guessing what they should or should not do.
I'd be happy with the team as is IF we can't get Gordon Hayward IF he wanted to come.
