anyone want to venture a guess why Asian airlines had way more accidents than Western (American/European) airlines?...it had NOTHING to do with the equipment, planes, airports etc....

here is a big hint

it had to do with the co-pilots.
I know what you're getting at here.....

Cavaliers face tough road in Boston, but will it matter in playoffs?

They are 1-9 in the second of back-to-back games on the road this season. This is also their fifth game in seven days, coming off a month when they set a franchise record for most road games with 12. Knowing that, it wasn't a surprise for LeBron James to downplay the moment.

hen the Cavs are playing with zero days of rest, they score 108 points per 100 possessions, which is a respectable ninth in the league. They allow 112 points, which is a woeful 27th. They have issues defending the pick-and-roll and in transition in the best of times -- Lue has been in a season-long search mode to find schemes that work in balancing the floor so they're better able to get back on defense. When their legs are heavy, it can get ugly.

It gets even worse after a flight. When the Cavs are on the road for a back-to-back, they allow 113 points per 100 possessions and get outscored by 11 points per 100 possessions. Since many games these days are right around 100 possessions, that means playing the Cavs on the back end has been nearly a guaranteed blowout for the home team.

Give the Cavs some rest, though, and you rediscover the elite team that remains in contention for the East's top seed. When the Cavs have at least one day off, they're 43-17, the third-best record in those situations in the league behind the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs.

They score 112 points per 100 possessions, second-best in the NBA, as their shooters have their legs. Scoring engines James and Kyrie Irving, unsurprisingly, improve with a little rest.

no back to backs in the playoffs.

Something related to the myth about why Asians are bad drivers?
its about the culture. and power distance.

They learned that asian co-pilots were more submissive and defferential.

If an American co-pilot saw his pilot fucking up--- he had no problem speaking up and telling the asshole he was about to kill a bunch of people.

when the asian co-pilot saw his pilot fucking up---- they were often afraid/hesitant to tell a superior they were screwing up on the job.

ehhh i dunno- im not very confident in this game--- i think the Celtics have a lot more to prove/play for and the Cavs are on the 2nd game of a back to abck on the road where they have basically forfeited all year.

Hmmmm.
Seems like just yesterday you said Cavs would beat their ass several times...correct??

Which is it?

that "Outliers" is a really good book.

Talks about Canadian Hockey players, rice paddy production in China, Bill Gates, Oppenheimer (the guy who gets a lot of credit for the Manhattan Project), the Beatles.

Postulates that in order to become world-class at your profession the magic number of productive practice time is 10,000 hours.

You honestly think the Heat would be an easier match up for the Cavs rather than the Pacers?
